The Dip

Coming through with Mantissa Mix 199 is Estonian based Steffan Todorović. Head of upcoming label's Coymix, Gestalt, and Hidden Assets as well as being one half of Abdul Raeva, he's given us a high energy, club focused mix stretching for just over an hour. 

'This mix is just a bunch of records and files I really dig. This was pretty improvised so it's all over the place stylistically, which is quite unlike how I usually do mixes. Just felt an urge to roll out some of my favorite fatty basslines'

On July 27th, Olympe4000 made her Fuse debut in Room 01. The following hour captures her original approach to various grooves and sonic pallets. Across her set, she navigates effortlessly between metallic percussion and deep, pulsing grooves, infusing industrial elements with ambient interludes. Known for her ability to seamlessly weave fast-paced techno with acid-infused undertones and fractured breakbeats, Olympe4000 guided the room through a relentless exploration of sound. Olympe4000 — Recorded Live at Fuse (27/07/24)

Ronya is part of the next generation of DJs setting Oslo’s dance floors alight. A regular fixture amongst the Det Gode Selskab collective and beyond, these past few years, she’s staked a claim in the minimal landscape of the city’s House and Techno universe. 

She arrives at the Jaeger Mix pursuing the sound we have come to recognise from the DJ. With sonic aesthetics that err on the side of the stark, and styles that reach far beyond the archetypal, there’s no one distinction that sets this mix apart, but the sound remains consistent. 

Whether breaking up the conformity of a beat or importing elements from divergent genres, Ronya‘s musical trajectory follows like a dialogue with the dance floor. It keeps everything grounded in the rhythm – possibly indicative of Ronya’s drumming roots – but it allows for expression beyond the functional.
