TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ JSR

JSR is a Techno project since 2013 by JANINA ( Tresor Berlin Resident ).
Originally launched while living in Moscow, she brought it into play as a dividing line between her house and techno leanings, with Janina being solely used for the former. While she plays across both genres, within any set she proficiently sticks to just one, depending on the booking. “I’ve always loved to play house and techno and keep them separate. For me, playing under my name and JSR better establishes this and gives me the freedom to fully engage with one or the other. When I play house, I like to stay in that flow, that feeling, the tempo…and the same applies for techno.”

House Anthems Vol. 1 (90ties Classic House Mix)

Irynas Sound fühlt sich an wie ein spontanes
Wochenende im Nachtleben. Wer einmal
einsteigt fährt bis zum Ende mit und verliert
sich in den unendlichen Tiefen der treibenden
Beats. Dabei findet sich die Komplexität erst im
vermeintlich Einfachem.

Und was nicht passt wird passend gemacht: Iryna bringt auch
untypische Elemente zusammen und überrascht damit genau
an den Stellen, an denen die Reisenden gerade dachten, dass
sie durchblicken. Niemals stehen bleiben, immer weiter! Ihre
Audiotrips sind nichts für die Couch, sondern bringen die
Muskeln zum Zucken. Wer die Augen schließt und tanzt, kann
in eine andere Welt reisen und abtauchen, sich verlieren und
alles vergessen. Die einzige Verbindung zur Realität bleiben
der zischende Sound einer Nebelmaschine und die
schwitzenden, tanzenden Körper im Blitzlicht - falls man kurz
die Augen öffnet. Im Ohr treffen wummernde Beats auf
Industrial-Elemente. Das Ergebnis: handfester, vielschichtiger
Techno aus der Hauptstadt, vermengt mit düsteren Elementen
und ohne eine Sekunde Zeit stehen zu bleiben.

Iryna umarmt mit ihren Sets alle – je bunter
desto besser. Jeder soll einsteigen und mitreisen.
Nur für Rassismus ist kein Platz auf ihrem Floor.
Gar kein Platz! Denn die Welt ist zu bunt für Hass.

Ist das Set vorbei fühlt, es sich an wie das Ende
eines Wochenendes. Plötzlich ist es Montag
Morgen. Man war an ein paar Tage an einem
anderen Ort und ist erschöpft und glücklich
zugleich. Die Füße fangen an zu wippen wenn
man daran denkt. Und im Gesicht sitzt ein debiles

Das Licht der Welt erblicke Iryna in der Ukraine Grinsen weil, man weiß es gibt mehr.
und erarbeitete sich dort eine klassische
Ausbildung am Klavier und der Geige. Dabei
lernte sie Musik grundlegend zu verstehen. Und
so zerlegt sie heute Tracks in winzige Einzelteile
um dann etwas neues daraus zu bauen. Inspiriert
wird sie von Berlins legendärer Szene aus
weltbekannten Clubs. Tagsüber arbeitet Iryna als
Juristin, um sich Nachts an den Decks
auszutoben. Zwei Welten die gegensätzlicher
nicht sein könnten. Deshalb sei hier auch
genügend über die Person gesagt.
