A bandit territory

With a nomad's crutch, and nothing much
But a heavy heart of regret tinged gratitude.

My pulse, as colourless
As a charcoal sketch, adrift in the harsh autumn wind,
Harsh, autumn wind 
This is the prison of my own making

Big plans
Splinters beams
Bars come free
Like loose teeth
Can't suck away the days
Behind curtains
That makes a lair seem safe,
Seem pretty.
