I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. 

The wait time  is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! 

Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. 

I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023.  Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet.

I like to imagine sometimes where the music will travel to. Who it will be given to or shared with. Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.

 I hope you love the tracks as much as I do and thanks for listening.

Lee Burridge - Requiem For A Daydream

I was envisioning playing these tracks in Shambhala's infamous Living Room. This mix literally features music from some of my favorite artists and labels. The DSF track in particular is one to look out for, as it's the only one featured in this mix that is unreleased. It scorches the dance floor every time I play it and will definitely be a BIG Summer track. Needless to say, I'm looking profoundly forward to experiencing Shambhala, as BC is one of the most beautiful places to be in the Summer and I've heard nothing but praise for Shambhala. Shambhala 2019 Mix Series - Marques Wyatt

This was part of my opening set at the Hacienda event in the main room at the Midway in San Francisco before Solomun went on decks. First track is my new edit of Rocket Man. 
Playing a sold-out 3,000 person show with that sound system is one of the craziest and funnest experiences I've had both as a DJ and human. Set starts out deep and as the crowds' pack in picks up to build the energy in the room for Solomun's set. Hacienda is my new production company and festival event that we started in 2019. Our first show was with HotSince82, then Solomun for our 2nd, and our next show is scheduled for May 16th where I'll be joining the main-stage with Maceo Plex, Stephan Bodzin, and Rooz, at the grass lawn on Treasure Island, SF.

About meeeee:
My name is Borzu (also go by Bo Borzu) - I'm a DJ, music producer, and event producer, based in SF and NYC. I've had the fortunate opportunity to play gigs regularly over the last 16 years at various underground warehouse events, clubs, and festivals across the US and parts of the world like Europe and South America. My residencies these days where I perform regularly include the infamous ZERO events in NYC, resident and part of the founding crew that makes the Disco Knights Burning Man camp happen. In San Francisco, resident DJ at my own Deep Blue and Hacienda events, a production company I co-founded where I regularly DJ alongside headliners such as Solomun, Maceo Plex Lee Burridge, Dubfire.. etc. In 2015, I teamed up with my good friend and mentor, Lee Burridge, to produce the All Day I Dream events in SF and Dj at some of them.
