I lean quite hard into the digital side of the synth in this set

My own Ambika is a 6xSVF build with the latest YAM firmware installed,
All the patches use the standard LPF so will be compatible with the majority of Ambika's out there, but you may need to install the YAM firmware to get use of the extra Oscillators included.

I programmed these patches in full 6 Voice poly mode and I have also included the MULTI file needed to configure your own Ambika to the same settings. No sequences or arpeggios are included but some patches do use the step sequencer for modulation.

Install instructions are included in the zip file

"Tengu is Meine Nacht's first venture into label territory, the debut EP comes from Daniel Ruane. Daniel's previous releases have been recognised for their mind bending, intellectual approach to 3D sound design and glitchy stop start methods.

The title track could be regarded as the frantic soundtrack belonging to an anxious generation. There's defiance within its warped and frightened structure; a passion for tearing down walls, dissecting normative systems and glitching madness that floats on the periphery of insanity.

It opens, full of optimism, with visions of an otherworldly utopia, before transcending into a manipulated fucked-step. Twisted rhythms, organic/robotic hybrids and mutant grooves, delivered with extraordinary accuracy, birth a form of experimentalism that is at home on the dance floor.

IV (CF_BD) shines a searchlight on a computerised battle. These are Ruane's biological impulses in mechanised form. A dextrous, rhythm provides a loose template for controlled chaos as lairy bass pressure, overdriven kicks and difficult rhythms treat the track like a statue of Perseus being carved out of stone".

This bank includes 120 Patches:

This set is inspired by many things, Including The Solar System,

This demo goes through over half of the 70 patches included.
The demo was recorded in one take and edited, It includes sequences and
patches that are played live (badly) and tweaked.

The audio on the demo is recorded with
the Monologue master volume at 12 O'clock
into the line in of my audio card. No EQ is used
but I do use reverb on all the patches and some delay
on the lead and fx patches. I use Madrona Labs 
Aaltoverb and Soundtoys Echoboy.

"Je suis une âme solitaire

I did this mix years ago, at a time when I was still trying to find my way through Berlin and trying to figure out my own voice with sound. 2020 has been a destabilizing year for most of us and I find it a good opportunity for looking back at the past, what we've done so far and how we feel. Listening to this mix which explored the situation of solitude as a faint narrative background, I found it strangely accurate for the present times. I was always interested in rhythms and the process of catharsis, this year I also rediscovered how blues hold this same power. Beyond the harsh socio-economic conditions resulting from slavery it describes, it is also an outlet to sublimate the wanderings of the human soul.
At times, delving into our wanderings does not necessarily need to be seen as an expression of pure hopelessness but rather of the complex landscape of human emotions and experiences. One has to know their shadow to know thyself. As Eartha Kitt recites in the conclusion of this mix, in her rendition of All by Myself / Beautiful at Forty : "The taste of life has not been so bad / Between the tears and joys I've had / For with some good and a little singing / She always allowed me to get up again".
In the present days I find much hope for possible future positive developments in the fact that I see awareness raising around many social issues, and concepts such as community, solidarity, love, kindness or empathy infiltrating our collective consciousness, becoming increasingly part of a common vocabulary that is more widely used."

Roy Of The Ravers - MIDI Racer

In "The Acquisition of Language & The Language of Acquisition", artist-poet Luzie Meyer traces the property of language to both confine and liberate, and the verbal means of expression available to us in times of digital media and algorithms. With the faculty of being able to express oneself through these forms (templates) comes the problem of false equivalence or commensurability: Unlike the spider that mechanically reproduces the same pattern again and again, The Acquisition of Language & The Language of Acquisition explores the gaps and interstices in which such tools and formats might possibly be used for different and poetic ends.

The long poem reads as a succession of “exercises” (chapters) and addresses the intricate entanglement between the individual and the universal, or the authentic and the socially constructed. Blending sound (among which are zither pieces of her friend Magda Barthofer, or composition techniques borrowed from musique concrète) with writing techniques such as cut-up, Meyer investigates the psychology of language forms and formats. As the narrator of the poem finds themself looking for a different and individualized alphabet, the use of an all-too-familiar language of therapy and self-enhancement reveals it as yet again firmly merging with the logic of neoliberal value and exchange.

The spoken word is accompanied and interrupted by musical interludes. The musique concrète compositions are created with a drum rack of original percussion sounds recorded at home, as well as with a ready-made set of sounds from Ableton. Additionally, the piece includes sounds of a lapharp (zither), played by Magdalena Barthofer, which were recorded with Ableton with an effects pedal.

Most recently his FrustPhase project has seen him move into a much more experimental electronic
area, producing 2 original half hour sessions with his growing collection of hardware. 

His CutOutWitch project started with a instrumental guitar based sound and has now morphed into Synth Rock 


BoB Has also started sound design and has created preset packs for several Virtual and Hardware Synthesizers, these are available to purchase at a small fee. He has also had presets included in several commercial releases including Madrona Labs Aalto and AudioRealism ReDominator Audio demo's are on this page along with purchase info.
