Following the release of the critically acclaimed LP 'Black Girl Magic' and a GRAMMY win for her writing contributions for Beyonce's 'Renaissance', Honey Dijon returns to Classic Music Company with an exclusive version of one of the album tracks 'Stand'. Featuring LA based vocalist and songwriter Cor.Ece, serene piano chords and elevated horns pair with Cor.Ece's warm, buttery vocal for a record brimming with depth and soul. Smouldering and poetic, the record bears influence of the house anthems of Honey's youth from artists such as Lil Louis and Danny Tenaglia, while lyrically embodying protest, as Honey told the New York Times, "It's about standing up for your belief system."

Deniece Williams’s soul-stirring single ‘Free’ first flew onto the scene in 1976, from her debut album This Is Niecy. Co-written by Williams alongside Hank Redd, Nathan Watts, and Susaye Greene, and crafted under the masterful musical direction of Maurice White and Charles Stepney, the track marked her breakthrough as a solo artist. It soared to No. 2 on the US R&B (Hot Soul) chart and cracked the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 25, but it was across the pond in the UK where it truly reigned – holding the No. 1 spot on the Singles Chart for two weeks in May 1977.
