Due to the state of our world these days, I wrote this rather serious Christmas song in the hope that someday there will be peace on Earth and goodwill to men and women.  Our world is such a violent place to live these days.  It really disturbs me and makes me quite sad.  We must figure out a way to gain a lasting peace on Earth among the different countries, religions, races and cultures.  Evil politicians must no longer exist in our world or we are doomed.  It's that serious right now, folks.  So, for me, I'm searching for peace this Christmas.  I find peace in quiet places, like a walk in the woods.  Or spending quality time with good friends and family.  Wishing all who listen to this new song, peace!

I'm Searching For Peace This Christmas!  (2022)

I just finished recording this new song, "Don't Look Away".  The guitar that I played was made by one of my best friends, the late Steve Montani.  His son Dave own's it now and asked me to make necessary repairs to the guitar, which I recently finished.  I decided that before I shipped him back his guitar, with his permission, I would write and record a new song on it in honor of his late father, Steve.  Steve and I go way back to when we met as teenagers.  We both played guitar and we started a duo acoustic band.  Those were fun times so very long ago.  Anyway, here's my new song written and recorded on Steve and Dave's guitar.  Steve made this guitar was back in the late 1970's as I recall.  It's only the second guitar he ever made and it was his last.  Steve passed away suddenly in 1996.  It was a great loss to his family and friends.  So, I'm honoring him and his memory with this new song and also by repairing his beautiful handmade acoustic guitar.  Enjoy.

I wrote and recorded this Christmas song, Sleigh Bells Ring Out, in 2005, and just this morning edited out some dead space before the song starts and after the song ends! I wrote this song just before Christmas last year.  There was no time to make a good recording of it, and I wanted to hire a pro flute player to play the flute parts.  Finally, a few weeks ago I hired the great local flutist Bruce Nardi to play my written flute parts as well as his improvised parts.  Bruce did a great job and the results are right here for you to enjoy!  Merry Christmas!  And, I LOVE MY CHRISTMAS TREE!!!
