Dance TV is proud to present DJ MIX #649 with Detroit’s own Jonah Baseball—an eclectic DJ, producer, and visual artist known for his deep musical knowledge and genre-blurring sets. This all-vinyl mix dives into some of his favorite  crunchy, harder techno grooves of the ’90s and early 2000s, weaving together fast, funky, psychedelic techno with deep soul, funk, and rare groove influences. Jonah Baseball is a multi-facetted musician, DJ, and video artist based in Detroit. Known for his eclectic mixing styles and diverse record collection, Jonah has been sharing his love of music and dance through parties in the city for the past 10 years. 

Beyond the decks, Jonah is also an experimental video artist, creating glowing video wall installations with the use of a live camera and old video mixers and glitch boxes. Jonah also collaborates on a lot of music projects with artists like Villager, Salar Ansari, Lindsay Lowend, and 2Lanes (in the band Overtone Series) crafting innovative music that spans genres while remaining deeply rooted in Detroit's rich musical tradition. From fast, funky psychedelic techno records to old soul, funk, and rare groove, Jonah Baseball’s mixes will take you on a journey through the sounds of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Bob VanDer, the creative force behind Damascus Underground, hails from Damascus, Syria.

Since 2005, he has been honing his craft as a DJ, producer and composer.

Renowned for his distinctive style, Bob quickly rose to prominence as one of Damascus's top DJs, securing a residency at one of the city's premier electronic nightclubs. His talent soon led him to headline at major venues across Damascus, earning him respect within the local scene.

In 2015, Bob relocated to Europe to further his musical journey. His exceptional skills garnered attention, landing him performances at prominent events such as AirPley Festival for four consecutive years and various gigs across Germany and Europe.

In 2017, Bob launched his own show, Damascus Underground Session, on Frisky Radio, where he serves as both an artist and radio-show host. Over the past eight years, D.U.S has gained global acclaim, featuring renowned artists from every corner of the world and showcasing diverse talents.

Bob's musical odyssey continues, fueled by his passion for music and a drive for international recognition.
