Cato Anaya and Arodes deliver a ray of sunshine, quite literally, on their ‘Sale El Sol’ single for Blond:ish’s ABRACADABRA label.  

Hailing from Colombia, Cato Anaya has been at the forefront of a sound indulging in Latin influences and energetic grooves, collaborating with the likes of Kryder, and featuring on esteemed labels such as Subliminal, Cube Recordings and Terms & Conditions.  For ‘Sale El Sol’, Anaya teams up with Arodes, the Spanish DJ and producer who currently resides between Miami and Ibiza, firing out blissful productions for MoBlack Records and Hurry Up Slowly amongst others.

The duo explain the origins of this refreshing single, “This song is a tribute to the eternal sunrise that visits our lives every day, from the first glimpse of light until the full immensity of the sun shining on earth. We wanted to show that through the vocals, and that’s why we connected with an authentic Caribbean choir from Barranquilla in Colombia. We recorded them from one single soft lead melody and progressively added new singers, creating a big uplifting crescendo full of emotion and power”.

“We wanted to have a track for DJs to play at that special moment in a set when the sun comes out, and to give the audience an exciting vibe. A moment full of gratitude for the new day that is coming.”

Colombian born artist Dum K has been firing out melodic and deep house sounds for the last couple of years.  His latest single ‘Immaculate’ lands on Blond:ish’s ABRACADABRA imprint, and radiates positive energy and good times with a breezy Afro house smash!

The foundations of a hypnotising percussive rhythm and deft pianos is lifted with enchanting vocals and propulsive bass, as the artist explains “The idea behind the track was initially to make a combination between afro and melodic rhythms, giving it a lot of colour and good vibrations, so that when it’s played on the dance floor, it is one of the best moments”.

Having previously releases on labels such as Believe House Records, Platform 7even, Trippy Code and Hurry Up Slowly, Dum K’s arrival on ABRACADBRA mark something of a milestone for the producer, as he explains; “I have followed Viv's work for many years, I have always liked her music and the energy she transmits when playing. I was in the process of finding my sound and I started receiving support for my tracks from Malóne (Abracadabra's A&R), so I decided to send him the Immaculate track. It was so very exciting when Malóne wrote to me and told me that Viv loved and wanted to sign up the track, it is a total joy to be able to release on this incredible label.”

 “West of the Moon” contains earthly audio elements, live percussion fills, and bubbling bass notes, layered over ethereal vocal mantras, to create a powerful dance floor experience.
