Surprisingly Franziska Kastner and Timo Katz found a mystical set of bark beetle traces on a wooden stick in Teutoburg forest. These were extracted and transformed into musical notations and performed as a sound piece.

The extracted music sheet is published on a billboard at 
Artists Unlimited e.V. Bielefeld during May 2021.

"Teil II - Wiederbelebung Ignorierter Materie aus: "Die Sprache Der Dinge, die keine Worte haben"" vom 09.07.2022 im Wolfen Cinema.
Ein Konzert auf der kaputten Bühne - mit den zauberhaft schrägen Geräuschen aus dem Schutt des Gebäudes - den Klängen aus der Installation von Johanna Frederike Koenitz mit technischer Unterstützung von Elisabeth Otto
--- innerhalb der Ausstellung "Transformation" im Programm vom Festival_Osten.

Informationen zur Ausstellung:
Unter Leitung von Prof. Andrea Zaumseil beschäftigt sich eine Gruppe von Studierenden der Burg Giebichenstein mit dem Kino in Wolfen.
Das Kino in Wolfen, einst gesellschaftliches und kulturelles Herz der Film- und Fotoindustriestadt, seit langem aber verlassen, dem Verfall preisgegeben, soll zu neuem Leben erweckt werden. Langfristig ist das ein Projekt  der Wohnstättengenossenschaft Bitterfeld (WSG). Anlässlich des Festivals OSTEN übernimmt eine Gruppe von Studierenden der Klasse Bildhauerei/Metall der Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle den Auftakt zur Wiederbelebung. Aus noch vorhandenem Material, aus Spuren, Resten und Erinnerungen, aber auch mit  Visionen für die Zukunft werden Installationen, Projektionen und Klangprojekte im und um das ehemalige Lichtspielhaus herum entstehen. Im Rahmen des Programms haben wir für Samstag Abend die Künstlerin Franziska Kastner aka Bocu eingeladen die Bühne im großen Saal des Kinos mit Klängen aus der Installation wieder zubeleben - als Film ohne Bild.

Chloé Malaise aka Enerzion is developing an artistic project closely linked to sound, installation and hacking, exploring our hyper-electronic material environment. Through both installation and live performance or the creation of instruments she question our relationship with the architectures and technologies that surround us. She invents her own analogue instruments and sound systems. Exploiting the possibilities of noise in compositions with contrasting energies, she designs sensitive compositions that offer a subjective, poetic and critical vision of the hypermaterialism that has become the décor of our societies.

Franziska Kastner, also known as "Bocu" is an intuitive sound artist who works interdisciplinary between music, text, drawing, installations and video works. In her relational artistic work, she explores the field of conscious and unconscious decision-making, the experience of mental and physical states in interpersonal spaces. An artistic process through sounds as language with fluid expressions, changing rhythms, unexpected melodies, oblique singing and immersive noise positions. Her progressive attitude grows out of improvised setups in which she uses a wide range of instruments between electronic, analogue and her own inventions or found sound objects.

 They were coming from all around 
Trying to find where they could stay
And where to schlagen ihre Wurzeln
Some try to sow themselves among the DJ scene 
some as a cleaning person
But the soil is very karg 
only with Ausbildung 
You are warmly temporarily willkommen

It all began with a solitary flower, its delicate form intertwined with another, embodying the essence of a nomadic soul. Rootless yet resplendent, it blossomed into an enigmatic creation, reminiscent of chainmail or whatever interpretation it evokes within you.

At first glance, the exhibition space appears barren, yet it hums with a subtle resonance, a soft symphony of transition. Ukrainian verses adorn the air, echoing sentiments of capturing the ephemeral essence of the wind, elusive yet palpable. They speak of a longing to grasp its essence, only to find it disperses like wisps of air, leaving behind traces felt on cheeks and hands, a reminder of distant snowy peaks and fleeting familiarity.
The overarching narrative woven throughout the exhibition is one of migration and adaptation. Visitors are invited to contemplate the journeys of these wandering souls, seeking refuge amidst unfamiliar terrain.

Through whimsical phrases and poignant confections, a dialogue unfolds—one that is equal parts whimsy and austerity, inviting introspection and engagement alike.

The room loops a frozen gesture through showing three artworks, sculptural moments, shadows and sound

These edible provocateurs, nestled amidst the art, engage visitors in a playful dance of wit and irony, leaving them pondering the complexities of human interaction and the art of communication.
