Description: I took a clip from an old Hanna Barbera cartoon "Jonny Quest". Show came out in the 60's, but I still remember it like it came out yesterday. I clipped Hadji's mantra "sim sim sala bim", and tried to make a beat out of it using only one audio track, and one midi file. I do plan on coming back to this. Let me know what you think.

This Must Be Ill

I took the drum beat from the song "Crescendolls" by Daft Punk off the album discovery, and mixed it with the "analog bass saw" midi patch. It's very "club"  sounding track, and aims to have a very punching bass line with heavily delayed tremolo parts panning back and forth. I used the korg nanoKEY2 to input most of the midi sounds, but a lot of it was just manually dragging around notes.

A track done by Enrico and I. He did the instrumental parts, and I did the drums and arranging. I did the arrangement in session mode, and recorded into arrangement mode.

Hello my name is Dante Reyon Artiquez or just Dean C for short. I am currently 25 years old in pursuit of an engineering degree at NJIT. I am Powhatan Native American, Caucasian, and African American. Ethnicity does not really matter though. I simply see people and judge them on character; never color. I created this only to evoke some type of emotion out of anyone whom reads what is on my page. I write poetry, songs, and about life in general. Life is not simply about "sex, money, and drugs" like many artists / role models have summed life down to. What about breathing? What about pain? What about remorse? What about dreams? Life is very short and it is what you make of it. I hope I can simply make it a better place or uplift an individual or two while on my path of life.
