Bo'G was surrounded by music from an early age, having a grandfather who was a minister and jazz-trumpet player, and a grandmother who was a choir director and singer. Music was a family affair, but Bo'G was always searching for his true voice in the mix. Bo'G's father introduced him to piano at a young age, but he never fully appreciated music until the night of his first live concert. It was in the Spring of '95 and it was a night that would change Bo'G's life forever. That night Bo'G heard the power of live-instrumentation in Hip Hop, delivered to his ears by The Roots, and he knew after seeing this amazing collective in action that music would always be his passion. Over the next ten years, he would develop his musical skills, focusing on the piano, West African and Afro-Cuban percussion, and sample-based production. After moving to Harlem in 2004, Bo'G began writing original compositions, collaborating with other musicians, and developing his digi-log sound. Always spreading peace worldwide, Bo'G on the Beat.
