Enrico Sangiuliano came up through illegal raves and is now a top DJ who plays all over the world and has his music played by the likes of Adam Beyer and Sven Vath. He has had the longest ever running techno number one on Beatport (his remix of ‘Can You Hear Me’ for DJ Boris on Alleanza) and is one of the best selling artists on the site at any one time. His music comes on Cocoon and Drumcode amongst others, and is powerful, direct stuff for the dance floor.

Written entirely in Italy, “X-Pollination (or cross-pollination) is fundamentally the key factor of growth, consciousness and life,” says the artist. “It’s the way I connect with people, share my passion, fly from one place to another and put many influences and elements into my music.”

The title track is eight minutes of slow burning but hypnotic techno funk with rolling rubber drums and nervy pads. Frazzled synths add post apocalyptic vibes to this main room anthem and many well crafted peaks and troughs along the way help make it even more standout. It is a real techno classic in the making.

Mark Reeve is the UK star who remixes. He has a long history with techno that goes back to the rave scene. Since then his education has taken in trips to techno mecca The Omen, has resulted in music on Cocoon and collabs with Pig & Dan. He has also released on Drumcode and has a big rolling sound that fills the world’s finest clubs and warehouses with his unique grooves. His take on the original is more energetic, with searing synths, cantering kicks and a dark energy that makes you pump your fist and stomp the floor. It is full of drama and is perfect balanced from start to finish.

‘Analog Birds’ comes at you with a big room warehouse style hook synth, and its low end driving groove swings throughout the mix accompanied by some seriously warped sonar style sounds.


‘Synced Apes’ is a jacked up techno swing style track, with syncopated drum rhythms which growl along an array of powerful synths. It’s down tempo than its predecessor, but still displays some of the same elements in synth effects and patterns.

12th March sees Ukraine’s rising Techno DJ/producer Spartaque make is debut on Fatima Hajji’s distinctive techno imprint, Silver M, with his brand new EP Keep It Clear. 

Silver M was created in 2016 by Spain’s much-loved and established techno DJ/producer/entrepreneur Fatima Hajji to spread her personal conception of sound within the growing techno scene. Within a short space of time the label (and events brand) has gone from strength-to-strength, boasting releases by some of the scene’s finest talents such as; D-Unity, Drumcomplex, Loco & Jam,  Fabio Neural, Frankyeffe, WANB, Dani Sbert, and, of course, Hajji herself amongst others. 

Spartaque’s impressive 3-track EP is a great addition to Silver M’s release roster and follows his previous outings on labels such as; Tronic, 1605, Phobic, Toolroom and Respekt Recordings to name just a few. 

Kicking things off is the EP’s title track ‘Keep It Clear’, which delivers a heavy dose of no nonsense techno encompassing; a pounding 4/4 beat, twisted synth textures and a superb use of effects. ‘Saturn Ring’ is next up and provides another intense dancefloor workout, comprising of; a dark and manipulated looped-up vocal sample, warped melodic elements and powerful bass frequencies.  

Concluding the EP in style is the peak-time banger ‘Avoid’, which perfectly complements its forerunners and serves up a heady mix of ferocious techno stabs, intense builds and eerie sound effects to great effect.

LENSKE’s first release by Farrago, “Risin”, comes packing high velocity punches, including a collaboration with Amelie Lens and a remix from Kobosil. The EP’s A side is packed near 12 minutes of crisp machine driven techno with Farrago’s rattling peak-time “The Riddler” being the first to puncture. The title track, “Risin”, will only be released as the Kobosil remix, a titanium tour of auditory horrors, which also borrows from the EP’s other tracks. Lens’ signature sultry vocal samples on the B side’s “Jealousy” draw the contours of a jaw grinding banger, while “Hidden Power” rounds out the release with a blaring dance floor siren encased in exquisitely unpredictable arrangement. Composer and entrepreneur girl Fátima, Spanish by birth but with Arab origins is a confessed lover of nature and animals, as well as striking colours… and of course, she’s in steadfast love of a fireproof music genre like Techno. From its analogue and classical roots – she’s specialist in bringing up her deep African origins- through more contemporary sounds, including Techno-house. She stands for freshness, audacity and ruthless grooves, ideal medicine for having fun. 

Despite her youth, Fatima Hajji has led the dance music scene for nearly two decades now. Step by step she has managed wisely to establish herself as an artist, not only in Spain but also in the rest of Europe.
