Making his debut on Purified Records, Aplexo unveils his striking two-track ‘Faces’ EP. The title track leads with a captivating vocal performance, wrapped in a strong melodic synth top line, crisp percussion, and a weighty kick - blending emotion with refined dancefloor energy. On the flip, ‘Waves’ ventures into deeper territory, delivering a grittier, more club-focused sound with atmospheric textures and a driving groove. A confident first statement, the ‘Faces’ EP introduces Aplexo as a compelling new voice on the label, showcasing his ability to balance intricate production with melodic depth.

The ‘Faces’ EP artwork is an aerial photograph of the Knik Glacial River in Alaska, taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

Alaska’s waters are among the most productive in the world, sustaining rich marine life and vital fisheries. The Alaska Marine Conservation Council (@ak.marine) champions sustainable management of these ecosystems, working with communities to protect fish habitats and ensure a healthy future for marine resources.

Sprout presents some exciting new remixes of label favourite, Criss Sources’ 2005 monster hit, Hugs N Kisses.

To say a track like this can make a career, really isn’t the platitude you think. It was certainly career-defining, but came at just the right time after years of hard work. Coming up to three decades at the pinnacle of the industry goes to show how far removed from the idea of the one-trick pony Criss Source truly is. His legacy spans multiple genres and many high performing labels, including Harthouse, Parquet and Beat Boutique

Nearly 30 years of soundtracking dancefloors across the world, and building a back catalogue arsenal of club bombs to rival any of his peers. Originally released in December of 2004, Hug’s N Kisses became one of the most played tracks for the next 4 years. A true club anthem supported by everyone from DJ Hell and Carl Cox right through to John Digweed and Nick Warren. Presented here with fresh remixes for 2025 by Peter Makto and Riko & Gugga, new life is injected into one of clubland's most enduring moments.

Peter Makto’s mix opens innocently enough, building tension over the first half of the track, steadily adding percussion and deep bass and muted arps. Everything unleashes in the main break, filters open the energy turns up to 11 and the dancefloor explodes in melody, and joyous excitement.

Riko & Gugga hit the ground running with a Bladerunner-esque bass and galloping percussion before acid shots and crazy psy-trance fx drive the floor wild. Aimed squarely at the peak-time, this is one secret weapon you deploy with great care. Once you set this one off theres no going back!

We remixed Jaydee’s original last year as something unique for our own DJ sets, however following big support from the likes of Seth Troxler and Art Department we’ve been inundated with hundreds of release requests, and as a result we started the process of trying to license it. When that failed we removed all original parts and painstakingly replicated them ourselves turning it into a cover, and hopefully a fitting 20 year tribute to this timeless classic.

Renowned record label and events brand Renaissance announce the next release in their acclaimed The ReMix Collection. Here there present a scintillating reworking of Jaydee’s 1992 R&S classic ‘Plastic Dreams’ from one of the leading names in techno: producer, DJ and MOOD Records label boss Nicole Moudaber.

Nicole Moudaber will be playing a unique sunrise B2B at the debut Renaissance Tulum at Zamna Tulum, Mexico on 4 January. She will be playing alongside Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg - who all make their Tulum debut.
