Special 2 hour long ambient/electronica/worldmusic DJ set by Vatsanah. Selected originally for a project "Tribe Yoga" with Szilvia Bagdal yoga instructor.

Budapest based artist with Lao origins. Behind her favourite three decks she’s well known for her cohesive collage of several styles from dubtechno till experimental sounds. She prefers to play long, organic sets made up with tools and athmospheres. Selecting music she’s driven by going back to her roots; always seeking a kind of pulsing, vibrant tribal percussion.
As a resident of Corvin Club and Contra Mundum she has the honour to play with the most iconic artists of the underground scene like Margaret Dygas, Maayan Nidam, Jichael Mackson, Deadbeat, Thor, Dorisburg, Barac, Objekt, Max Cooper, Giovanni Verrina, Kaitaro etc…
Under the name of Vatsa she works as a painter and graphic designer transforming her musical attitude in visual forms.

Vatsanah - Yoga Tribe @ Plug & Lay Radio Show │ Tilos FM 90.3

Liquid Sound Design have blazed a glittering cosmic trail at the forefront of psychedelic downtempo sounds since the turn of the century. 

As a selector, going deep into such an excellent catalogue was a real treat.  Some of these tunes are old friends, like Whirling Dub (a chillout fave in the 90’s) and Dub Trees’ Freaks of Nature and the lovely Amethyst Corrida.  Some tracks were new discoveries, like Kuba’s beautiful tune 313443 which starts the mix with a blast of positivity, or Gus Till’s top remix of Holeg Spies’ tune Supramyth.  The Labs Cloud tune See You at Dawn is sonically brilliant and then there are tunes by musical legends such as Irresistible Force (who reminded us to lie down and be counted many years ago), Gab Le Mar who I’ve been listening to for more than 20 years and then DF Tram, with the perfect tune Honeycomb that keeps drawing me back for more listens.

LSD has done a great job exploring  and showcasing some of the outer reaches of dub influenced psychedelia - like the amazing Eat Static remix of Suns of Arqa classic The Truth Lies Therein, with spoken word from John Cooper Clark and Wadada’s sitar, or Youth’s bonkers remix of Planetman’s beauty of a tune No One Can Stop Us, and then David Last’s completely excellent extended dub remix of Bluetech’s Bardo Waves.  Vlastur’s  remix of Youth and Gaudi’s Bass Weapon shows he was exactly the right remixer for that track.

Vataff Project’s ‘Come and Join’ EP is an immersive ambient dub-techno groover paired with a deeply hypnotic remix from the legendary Saafi Brothers!
Victor Marinov is an esteemed Bulgarian electronic producer with a sound all his own. Having released his debut full length album on the seminal Aleph Zero label as well as producing an EP with Markus Henriksson (Nobodys Home/ Minilogue/ Son Kite, Liquid Sound Design is thrilled to present this single ahead of his upcoming ‘Back to The Forest’ album due this autumn.

Vataff Project has an eclectic experimental sound all his own drawing from elements of ambient, ethno, psychedelic & techno.. all the while mixing electronic beat with traditional Bulgarian and worldwide instruments. His studio is set in the Rodopa mountains in Bulgaria, a place of great spiritual power and home to the legends of Orpheus and a country with a deep mysterious power. The end result bringing profound feelings of ecstasy, dance and ritual which come from the heart, the ancient times, the present and the future.

••• These are the days of great transformation. I think it is for all of us, both globally but also personally. We see our own worst sides and we also see the best. We have a choice of what to keep in our lives and what to leave behind. The second lockdown is on and the corona madness is peaking more than ever, the winter solstice is just around the corner and tomorrow the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn is happening. 
While all this intens energy are at its highest, i would like to do a little repost in this episode of my sunday sound experiments. A piece i did back in march when the first lockdown started here in Denmark. A reminder of how beautiful our mother earth can be and how she would sound when feeling the best. Maybe also a reminder of how beautiful we can be both as individuals but also together.
Because we, our planet and the universe are all one i believe.
This one is made with Omnisphere, the sound of a river and various animal sounds i found on Soundly.
