This 'quarantune' is a direct product of this strange time.  It was created, played, recorded and mixed in isolation during her lockdown by Anne Burton, who also sings the vocals.
It is inspired by the thought of perhaps being asked, at some point in the distant future: “What was it like to live through the great pandemic of 2020?” How would I reply?
 
There are three sections: a slow instrumental beginning, a funkier middle bit and the sung part at the end.

Instruments used: Casio Px5x keyboard. Akai MPD 218 finger drumming machine. Cubase virtual instruments.

Letter To My Grandchildren April 2020 Anne Burton

Body and Soul is a professional four or five piece jazz band based in Suffolk, England. Their line-up is: female pianist/singer, saxophonist, male singer, bass and drums. They are all highly experienced musicians and together they create something quite special. 
        
       They have been playing together for over 10 years.  Their range of music is very broad, including well loved jazz standards, latin numbers,  swing, funk, and blues. They particularly enjoy giving unusual new arrangements and interpretations to popular songs.
        
        The band  plays all over East Anglia, London, and beyond  at functions of all types and released their latest CD - "Feeling Good" - in 2008.
