I created this music as a background bed for one of my videos after a Northern Lights hunting in the Finnish Lapland. I hopw you enjoy it!

This was the first evening of a ten-day Aurora Hunting trip in Finnish Lapland. That particular night, since we had just arrived in Rovaniemi and the geomagnetic conditions seemed favorable, we hired a local guide to take us away from the city to find clear skies, as there was some cloud cover. We ended up about kilometers south of the city, where we found clear skies, and the aurora was already beginning to make some faint appearances on the northern horizon, which gradually came and went for about two hours without impressive displays. However, measurements from the satellites began to show that a wave of solar wind was approaching, and at some point, it gradually started to strengthen. At its peak, a huge arc reached across almost the entire sky and directly above us (zenithal) with visible red hues. This occurred around midnight (we had set out at 21:00) and lasted for another hour with considerable intensity.

This evening was a result of the X9 CME that had left the Sun a few days prior and arrived somewhat weakened and late. However, it ignited a period that so far has been characterized by intense red auroras in recent years, as we are also at the Solar Maximum of the eleven-year solar cycle. (The one the following week was also visible from many areas in Europe and America, at much lower latitudes)
