The Body Squad is a hip-hop group hailing from the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. Consisting of members Eaz, Fredo, Ruger Rell, and Shoota, the talented rap group has a uniquely raw and edgy sound with gritty lyrics that speak to the experiences of inner-city life.
 
“What we rap about is real,” Eaz says. “The pain and drama you feel in our music is all based on things we’ve really seen, done, and been through.”
 
In a city known for its high murder rate, one of those harsh realities is death. “The Body Squad has lost some soldiers over the years,” says Fredo. “We don’t want to lose any more.”
 
Using their past adversities as motivation, The Body Squad is working toward succeeding in the music industry. As Shoota puts it, “We’re focusing on this music and we’re determined to make a positive from all the negative.”
