Beggining as a passion project born out of the first wave of covid 19 lockdowns, Irene J. has kept a focus on his output between merging impulse with feeling, movement with reflection and groove with sentimentality. With releases on Over & Out, Dishevelled London and Warning Berlin, Irene's sound shows an affinity for UK electronic music styles, leaning towards visceral, moody breakbeat and jungle yet refusing to be pigeonholed into any specific genre. A part of upcoming Eora based events label @short notice, Irene has found a passion in hosting and creating for the electronic music sphere, and has no plans to slow down his nostalgic sonic explorations.

We're so freaking excited to bring the next Body Mix to you from Washington based producer, @percussionfunctions label founder and @haus_of_altr alumnus @jamesbangura. This mix was recorded with friends over a bottle of wine and are the sounds of a DJ having fun! This mix conveys intimacy, and we can probably all agree at a time like this, intimacy is exactly what we need. Jumping on the mic and throwing tracks in and out at dizzying speed, James Bangura invites us to vibe alongside him. It's hard to tell where his blends begin and end, there's so much going on yet it's approached in such a light-hearted way it feels breezy.
