Vinyl obsessive, renowned DJ and talented producer, Kon knows a thing or two about good music. Dubbed "King of the Edits" by Boiler Room, Kon is perhaps best known for his partnership with fellow Boston DJ Amir, which spawned 'Off Track', surely the most influential compilation series of recent years. Through a mutual appreciation of each others catalogs, and a friend in common (Poolside’s Jeffrey Paradise) to make the introduction, producers/ dj’s/ musicians Vito Roccoforte & Bosq informally formed Body Music in the spring of 2015. Bonding over a mutual love for raw, funky disco, house music and jazzy gospel piano licks, the two began passing unfinished ideas back and forth until a debut EP took shape. Vito’s renowned drumming (most famously as the backbone of The Rapture) and production chops (as 1/2 of Vito & Druzzi) meld with Bosq’s instrumentation and groove based approach (as heard in his afro/latin/disco/funk projects for Ubiquity & Soul Clap Records). The mixture of live drumming, instrumentation and two experienced electronic producers at the boards results in an organic and musical aesthetic with enough punch for modern dance floors.
