This was my submission in the "How To Destroy Angels" remix contest (2013). 

"How To Destroy Angels" is the latest project by NIN-singer and frontman Trent Reznor, and the original track which I've remixed is called "Strings and Attractors" and is taken from their debut album "Welcome Oblivion".

I only used the original vocal stem in my version, so that belongs to Mariqueen Maandig and Reznor. 

Unfortunately I did not win the remix competition, but I think it turned out so good so I want to share it with the world anyway. Hope you will appreciate it!

Music is not just my passion; it's my life. I probably wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for music. 

I did my first mash-up when I was ten years old, recording from my CD's into cassette. That's when I learned that you need patience to remix and mash songs up. Especially for my first mash-ups; my boombox didn't have the 'fast forward' function, back in 1993... 

So, I've been a musician since I was very young (probably always at heart). Started to play the piano when I was six. 
Between childhood and adulthood I have botanized in almost every genre there is. 
I went all in in my teens; becoming a punk, metalhead, hiphop biatch, rave freak, metalhead again, goth (I sound like every outcast in South Park...), and finally, the one definition that can't be translated correctly into English without losing it's nuance; synthare. ('Syntare' = someone who plays the keyboard.) In English maybe the term 'electrohead' could work. And that's pretty much where I'm stuck right now. :)

I'm mixing, mashing, soft voices and hard beats (I looove the contrasts), make both official and unofficial remixes for other artists, last (and least) I do some original tunes as well, even though I find it more fun to mix and mash other artist's songs.
