Fresh from their recent single with Kenny Ken which struck #1 in the Juno Download charts, Beat Merchants link up with T.R.A.C. who's still riding the buzz of his 'Life In Remixes' LP.

'Back on the Griz' sees the vocal roots of T.R.A.C. lay down on the Beat Merchants funky foundations. A re-played nod to Bob James' 'Take Me To The Mardi Gras', previously inspiring works from artists such as Run-DMC, Ghostface Killah, Chemical Brothers and more. The the artwork even features a red apple as a nod to the Bob James artwork as well as the home of T.R.A.C., New York.

'Fallen Angels' is released 11th April

Total Science’s label CIA Records has spearheaded one of the underground’s most thriving corners, having spent decades in the scene whilst helping to build drum & bass from its roots. Hailing from the cultural hub of Bristol, they’ve continued to stay true to the sound they pioneered, something which is obvious not just from their own music but also through the back catalogue of CIA. 

‘Fallen Angel’ is a return both to the tech layered engineering which Total Science have become renowned for and to old school vibes that still litter their sets. With cranking breaks which leave marks against its metallic swatches of percussion, ‘Fallen Angel’ begins to ramp up throughout its intro, snipped up with distorted vocals and a slow decent into thundering bass stabs.

We just reached various milestones across our different social media pages and figured there was no better them then now to drop this very anticipated releases for Free Download !

All four tracks have a slick unique vibe about them and are from Producers that we absolutely love :)

First up one from the family, Alex SLK comes with "Feel Me" a deep and boppy one with a soulful ragga sample to get things going. 

Charla Green then steps up with "Here Comes The Drama" which displays awesome use of sampling and some wicked production. 

Erfurt very own Hasky takes the reigns for the penultimate track with his viber "Jungle Vindicator"! 
Ragga Sampling and throwback elements make this one perfect for any DnB or Jungle set. 

Last but certainly not least a producer we have been rating for time here at the label L-Kind makes his Boey debut with "Massiv" which a pretty self explanatory tack.  A rollin' bassline, stripped back drums and some awesome sample work come together to create this vibey roller. 

We hope you all enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed compiling and curating it, these 4 producers are some of our personal favorites so it's a huge pleasure for us to have 'em all on for this EP.

After thirteen years and over ninety releases, Med School has stacked the chairs and closed its doors. As a final farewell to the label, the ‘Med School: Graduation’ compilation celebrates the life of Hospital Records’ once sister label, as well as the musicians and culture that defined it, with 23 brand new tracks from label stalwarts such as Bop, Keeno, Etherwood and Whiney as well as the new blood that was always so important to the label’s experimental output.

In Med School fashion, the album brings together a myriad of drum & bass stylings and beyond. From the microfunk movements of Bop to Illexandra’s warped emergency warnings, Lakeway’s upfront grime beats to the unique electronic musings of Frederic Robinson, A.Fruit and Kimyan Law.

Representing the serene side of Med School is Etherwood’s ‘Nowhere To Go But Everywhere’, alongside beautiful contributions from Keeno, Natus and Polaris. The tribal infusions of Royalston’s stepper ‘Mark’s Shibari Groove’ and Lung’s techno-fused rabbit hole ‘Stop Crying’ switch up the pace to reflect the breadth of Med School’s outputs. The compilation also calls back to the very beginnings of the label with a special VIP treatment of S.P.Y’s first release in the Hospital camp, MEDIC1 ‘Black Flag’.

Whiney not only brings in his deep new stepper ‘Close To You’ but is also the man behind the continuous mix on the album, seamlessly bringing together all 23 tracks for one final salute to Med School Music.
