Recently initiated into the Lola ED crew, the Romanian trio Premiesku (Livio, Roby and George G), step up with an exceptional 3-track EP for the Apollonia label.

Defining what it is to be a ‘real’ live act, Premiesku describe themselves as a techno band. On realising their gear wasn’t living up to expectations, there was nothing else for it but to rip it apart! Rebuilding, reconnecting, re-casing, a very personalised and totally unique setup was born. Now armed with extra capabilities and an additional excitement to experiment, Premiesku combines live rhythm sections with synths and FX, all without a computer in sight… it’s no surprise then that Fabric, Amnesia and Electrosanne are the calibre of performances to look forward to. Working with this original setup of customised hardware and known to love a good old jam session, More 4 EP is a reflection of their movement through three distinct moods during one such studio lock-in. Each track fitting for a particular moment in the party, they have already been tried and tested many times within the Apollonia b2b2b sets this summer. Title track More 4 has a genuine old skool techno feel about it. On a mission to command and destroy the main room, it builds up and up, sucking you in with a softly sung female vocal and smooth synths. Instantly uplifting, REAL’s light and bouncy percussion is full of swing and groove. The rolling effect combined with a phat bass underneath, perfectly providing the depth, makes this more than enticing to move to. To round off the EP, Premiesku lay down the Romanian touch. A fierce bassline, signature glitches and infectious tribal beats… the melodic minimal of Despre ei makes this an expertly crafted example of their deeper side.

On 26 September 'Trust' returns to London for the first club date in 7 months. An all-conquering summer has seen their annual off Sonar open air party reach new heights, 2 huge festival stages gobbled up at Edit (Amsterdam) and Found (London), and massive club dates at European hotspots like Gipsy, Nordstern and Birmingham's Rainbow.

Erased Tapes artists Kiasmos (Janus Rasmussen & recent Late Night Tales compiler Ólafur Arnalds) and Rival Consoles are the first to reconstruct Sasha’s Scene Delete vision in their own image. Kiasmos take Scene Delete’s fragile, beatless closing track ‘Vapour Trail’ and transform it into an ambient-house anthem, equally suited to home listening or for club use. Rival Consoles’ nocturnal take on ‘Cassette Sessions E’ feeds from the London-based electronic songwriter’s critically lauded style of humanised techno, building from hypnotic melancholia to a joyous crescendo.
