Kris Edland aka kLL sMTH has become somewhat of a household name here in his home Denver, Colorado. A city where there is no shortage of intelligent glitch Kris' music stands out as one of the more refined and mature sounds. His new EP "Flummoxed" released independently Feb 10th is nothing short of a sonic masterpiece. Highly technical, often incomprehensible production techniques and ever changing music styles throughout. We reached out to Kris and requested a mixtape featuring new music and tunes from artists he's been vibing to.  We've included a little Q&A to give our readers a little insight into the workflow and lifestyle of the one like kLL sMTH.

I try to keep my head down and not pay too much attention to numbers or reception, as I think those can distract and displace one's priorities, but also because sometimes it can be downright overwhelming. Once in a while I look up and see people listening all around the world and just feel a gratitude so deep and poignant that the only thing I can think to do to process it is just make more music. So with that said, here's a thank you mix of some of my favorite originals from the past few years along with some brand new material. It's quite a journey. BogTroTTeR

The Minneapolis native BogTroTTeR has set roots in Denver and has been melting crowds throughout United States, Israel, Netherlands, France, Australia, and Canada since 2009. Through complex percussions and growling rhythms, BogTroTTeR’s diverse collage of original compositions challenges the scope of modern day psychedelic bass music. His sound pushes the limits through his own unique mixture of glitch-hop, breakbeats, and psy-bass with a dark, swampy twist.  Murky bass lines and terrestrial synthesizers are just a few things contributing to the lustrous sound field amalgamated by BogTroTTeR.

He has quickly become a favorite at festivals and gatherings such as Infrasound, Sonic Bloom, and Tipper and Friends’ events; inspiring a myriad of listeners to tread deep into his sound field, united by lustrous melodies. 

BogTroTTeR has eight releases creating complex terrestrial soundscapes on legendary Colony Recordings, Shanti Planti, Merkaba, and Addictech Records.
