Social Skills (Unreleased)

Reminiscent of the mid 70s New York Indietronica scene, Bohemian Machines debuted with the quirky and dance floor ready single ‘Social Skills’. The provoking yet humble single showcases the duo’s writing and arrangement capabilities while offering a healthy dose of real life honesty, something we can all appreciate. 


Throughout their 20s Davey and Rich spent much of their time writing and performing in seperate bands while cutting their teeth among the UKs underground live circuit. After spending a summer obsessing over Talking Heads and every New York ‘New Wave’ band that graced the 80s, Davey & Rich found themselves having a massive creative spark which led them to teaming up on this project. They studied what made their influences so special and challenged themselves to create something as sparse and as unique as their peers. Refraining from adding layers of Backing Vocals, Complex Beats or Stacks of Guitars or Synths. Bohemian Machines focused on Rhythm, Words, Sounds and Melody.
