Lovely soundtrack. Great composition. I feel the spacey theme with a slight dreaminess.

Amazingly strong world class composition and production. Very powerful continuously building melodic theme supported by intricately designed string & horn orchestration. Breath taking changes in dynamics. The tension never really stops building in the song. From a technical perspective - I can't imagine a more perfectly balanced soundscape... it's warm but every sound is crystal clear and the inter-instrument interplay/ dynamics are phenomenal. Breath taking composition and performance. Someone sure as hell knows what they're doing:-)

My single, ‘Evocations’ is the first track from my forthcoming album, ‘Exhale’. As our society is going through such turbulent times, especially towards the end of what looks like a very difficult year for the whole world, I would like to offer my audience some moments of calm, relaxation, repose and reflection. 

Being the founder of Piano-Yoga®, an holistic method of piano playing, performing and teaching,  I will be accompanying the album with a series of breathing techniques and yoga postures, to offer people the opportunity to experience this music in a different way.

Released especially for the holiday season, I am hoping that my audience will be able to take some time away from their busy schedules for themselves, including attending to their physical, psychological and mental well-being, which will enable them to look inwards to re-examine their lives. And, if my music can offer this special support, I will be more than happy to contribute to society in such a way.

Evocations - GéNIA

Barcelona-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Jaime del Adarve announces the release of Las Horas, an intimate and delicate collection of pieces for piano and strings.

Las Horas, which translates to The Hours, is a purposefully ambiguous title. It may refer to the divisions of the day, like in La Amanecida, an Andalusian word for dawn Jaime learned from one of the coplas his grandma used to sing. This septet piece captures the passing dynamics of the day, drawing inspiration from Baroque violin concertos, where the individual voices merge into a joint message.

The EP’s title could also talk about the Greek goddesses of the seasons, like Eirene (Peace). She is reflected in La Quietud, a poignant piece for felted upright piano. But most importantly, the title refers to the representation of these goddesses on Earth—the women that nourished us and held us on their laps, Las Haldas. This heart-waming piece for piano and string quartet tries to capture that welcoming feeling of safety when we've ached, and we are held.
