“Bolcan are an exciting collaboration of Waterford city's leading Traditional and Jazz musicians that fuse a variety of musical genres that includes Irish, Breton, Balkan, bluegrass, gypsy jazz and South-American melodies alongside a selection of contemporary songs to create their own unique sound. Formed in the Summer of 2010 for a one off gig at Tramore racecourse (providing support for Imelda May) which proved a huge success with the audience and consequently produced bookings at the Waterford Spraoi, Harvest, Imagine and Tall ships festivals along with some select intimate pub gigs over the summers of 2010 ,2011 and 2012.
