I really dislike the sound of my own voice.

Mostly Careless Whisper Part One

Well, i found a guitar in the trash at the end of the lane behind my flat, it has two strings.

I have not lived in Glasgow long, so I have not yet had much interaction with the sound/art/music community here. The present circumstances have also added to this lack of engagement. 
Attempting to get a sense of what is happening here, I have started searching online for artists based in Glasgow, the idea being to start sampling the work of artists here, and to use these samples in new compositions. Once I'm reasonably happy with the composition, I plan to upload it to bandcamp, and in the off chance someone actually purchases the track, I will donate all the funds to the artist whose samples I used. 
The process's intention is to be a tiny gesture of goodwill towards a community I hope to be a part of eventually. 
Asking for permission to sample their work might also be a good excuse to virtually meet other artists in this city. 

Through bandcamp, the work of "Production Unit" caught my attention via their release "Why Do The Birds Sing?"  which featured the quote "Why Should We Bother the Outside World?" on the cover.
I listened to a bit of their work, and ultimately choose a recent release, "Slow Notes For Marx 1," to sample.
