Duality Trax is a contemporary, forward-thinking record label from the creative mind of Irishselector Holly Lester. Encouraging inclusivity, togetherness and collaboration, the label seeks todraw inspiration from the contrasting but balancing energies that exist within us all. In keepingwith the label’s ethos, each release aims to consistently feature artists of all genders. 

With two vinyl releases since the label's conception in early 2020, Duality Trax makes its firstforay into compilation territory, pooling together some of the most interesting acts emerging fromhouse, techno and beyond. 

Bouncing from the US to Europe, the VA skips through a multitude of moods and genres acrossseven tracks - including acid-tinged electro from New York, breaks infused garage fromChicago, rave-fuelled house from Belgium and a pulsating trance-inspired club track fromEstonia.The latter comes courtesy of Abdul Raeva, a project between Coymix Ltd and Gestalt Recordsfounder Steffan Todorović and Joonas Arro (aka Rashida Prime / Ray Faded). Following on fromtheir latest output on Bristol label Mint Tea, the Tallinn-based duo deliver with their high octanetake on tech trance. 

Sprinkled with glitchy 8-bit samples, laser tag sound effects and driving 303licks, ‘Pearlescent’ is reminiscent of the type of track you’d hear in the 90’s on a virtual realitysimulator. With one foot in the past and one firmly in the future, the result is a contemporary clubbanger primed for the re-emergence of dancefloors everywhere.'Visions Vol. 1' comes out on August 6th exclusively via Bandcamp, with 100% of the profitsdonated to Doctors Without Borders.

Next up on X-Kalay it’s fresh heat from one of the finest among a current generation of prog-inclined producers. Guy Contact’s ‘Out of My Head (Into My Body)’ speaks to a sublime, utopian conception of dancefloor utility; dance music primed to achieve ascension through collective physical experience.
Navigating mystic, offbeat zones, Contact sets out his stall from the start. ‘Out of My Head (Into My Body)’ is as pristine as it is expansive, inducing trance states as trippy flourishes oscillate over driving rhythm in impeccable lysergic style. Then, with another dose of melt-on-the-mind groove, a radiant bliss-out arrives in the beautifully buoyant flex of ‘Sacred Mist’.
Taking its name from a part of the brain associated with emotional processes, ‘Amygdala Tongue Wobble’ propels into fractal introspection with dense, insistent pulse. Finally, ‘Optimystic’ finds Contact channelling new age spirits as he assumes the role of innerzone healer - wide-eyed downtempo to close things out.

After exploring talents in Europe, Mister T. records is returning with a blend of balearic and progressive house EP by Mahkina, formerly know as Alex Aguayo, from Mexico.
 
Mister T. records is extremely proud to unveil Alex Aguayo’s first release with his new alias Mahkina. Active for more than 7 years on the indie and electronic scene as Alex Aguayo, the Mexican DJ and producer is now introducing his new house / progressive project. “Sale Por El Corazon” stands as a clear definition of Mahkina : a tribute to the digital retro sounds and a hot touch of tropical/salsa style rhythms.
 
The four track EP opens with “Attraction Gravitionelle”, a clear dancefloor oriented track, evolving around a mesmerizing acid bass line and french vocals. The emotional breaks and drops add a layer of tension to the hottest tune of the EP.
 “Good Old Moments” acts as a bridge between the change in Alex Aguayo style that could be seen in his latest release on Fauve Records and the actual Mahkina project. The balearic nostalgia is inherent to the sounds which remains a very sweet tool for dancefloors thanks to its fast rhythm and the warmth of the dub techno influenced stabs.
“Sale Por El Corazon” was produced a bit later after the other tunes by Mahkina yet it’s really what is giving the relevancy of the whole EP and then its name. Alex managed to capture the brute energy of the inspiration flow, waking up one day at 6am hearing the bass line in his mind and rushed to his PC to record the whole tune. On this track, Alex touched the raw essence of the first Detroit productions with the same influences coming from latin pianos and percussions.  
“No Politics” concludes the EP with a beautiful and vibrant balearic house ballad giving space to aerial piano lines.

Paranoid London are on the brink of releasing their second album, ‘PL’, which finds duo Quinn Whalley and Gerardo Delgado delving into the dark, analogue territory they explored on their 2015 self-titled debut. ‘PL’ boasts a series of guests including queer scene darling Josh Caffe (on the already-released ‘Vi-Vi (Vicious Games)‘, Alan Vega from Suicide, A Certain Ratio’s Simon Topping, Arthur Baker, Warmduscher frontman Mutado Pintado as well as Bubbles Bubblesynski, the trans activist and DJ who was murdered in 2017. ‘Cult Hero (Do You Wanna Touch Me)’ – which we’re premiering below, takes a squiggly, acid-meets-EBM beat with post-punk frontman Simon Topping’s vocal driving the track forward.
