Dutch DJ and producer duo T.U.R.F. join True Romance with their Higher EP featuring Aussie producer Sondrio, presenting us with three house tracks filled with acoustic sunshine, bouncing from boogie and funk to disco and back. Higher is the standout track with its radiating synths and groovy melody, a feel-good anthem that acts instantly as a vibe setter. With releases on Large Music and Editorial he has been making a great impression with his combination of disco and beatdown house. A well balanced blend between samples and synth work makes this a varied EP and a great showcase for Loz’s sound. Outplay’s own Fouk takes care of the remix, turning the lush “It Will Come To Me” into a solid dance floor track with added bass line groove.

Out of his estimated 7.436 unfinished projects, he managed to complete three tracks, bag a remix and bundle it all up to what will hit the stores as 'This Is Why' EP. The A-Side kicks off with the discoish banger 'Q&H' and a beautiful synth-heavy remix by Lorenz Rhode - not only famous for his releases on Compost Records or Exploited but also for taking Detroit-Swindle-Liveshows to another level with his godlike keys-skills. The deeper side of Lukas' sound is represented on the B-Side. Starting with edgy piano chords, 'Solid/Fragile (Coexistence)' introduces an enchanting arpeggio midway through the track. With its distinctive strings, 'Nothing But A Heartache' makes for a semi-sentimental yet still hips-moving finisher.

Hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico, Hotmood has been quietly constructing a dedicated fandom after successful inter-continental tours and timeless, boogie-inspired club cuts released to the world via imprints Whiskey Disco, Tugboat Edits, and his own label, Hotmood Records. We’re thrilled to be premiering his new track, “Good Old Days” which will appear on De La Groove’s Blazing Waves Summer compilation.

To put it simply, this track is six minutes of pure sunshine. Hotmood lays a solid rhythmic foundation in the opening bars, gracing listeners with the punchy, animated kicks, snares, and hi-hats for which his disco edits have become known. Rounding out the ensemble, a guitar lick, slap bass, and electric piano tangle themselves into a bright, feel-good melody accented with playful drum fills and the occasional brass punctuation. Though the intermittent vocal sample calls us to reminisce about, “the good old days,” I imagine countless situations, perhaps sitting poolside with a margarita in hand, when this track will actively construct those days in the right here, right now. A perfect tune for the first month of Summer, be sure to keep Hotmood on your short list of disco heavy-hitters.

Premiere: Magic In Threes 'Chupa Cabra' (Fouk Remix)

FHUO Records has been pushing the limits of its own diversity by releasing an ambient soundtrack album, hip-hop beats, neo soul and electronic music during the last months.
But here it comes back after a short hiatus with something powerful and very special, the first solo album of one of the all time finest french jazz pianist on the scene, Marc Bianco.
Known for his house productions and his project Kimosabe with Folamour, Marc Bianco decided to go back to the roots for his first long format under his real name. Coming from improvisation, live jazz and the connection between composing and sharing energy, he decided to mix all these ideas into a beautiful experience going through cinematic universes from one track to the other. Different worlds while we're still on the same trip. One for the books!
