‘Family Horror X Good Times’ is an extensive 15 tracks compilation, where the label reflects on an intense and impassioned decade. We asked close friends and long time idols to play their part to the full to complete the third edition of the label’s Family Horror compilation series. The outcome is a clear snapshot of the musical inclinations of the three label founders, Sevensol & Map.ache (aka Manamana) and Bender, encapsulating an idiosyncratic, modern house sound that demands an emotional response. 
The compilation comes rounded off by a booklet of photographs from Ria aka Lux which just like the music captures some of the beautiful ‘Good Times’ from this very special period, this time on paper.

French electronic champions I:Cube and Chateau Flight, trendsetting DJ Raphael Top Secret and newcomers Flegon provide us with remixes of the autumn released LP 'Sphere Of Existence ' by Antoine Kogut. Where the LP explored atmospheric and experimental pop, « Remixes » gives us a four tracker that is made for the dancefloor.

On side A, Chateau Flight transforms the title track « Sphere Of Existence » into a 90’s Italo house banger while I:Cube does what he does best in his unexpected dub version.  On the B side, Raphael Top Secret reworks « Current density » into a Hip House track full of deep vibrations and newcomer band/label Flegon fulfilled their goal of working with their all time favorite French Touch pioneer label Versatile giving us a Nu-Disco remix of the song « L ‘oeillet noir ».

Two powerful originals, showcasing a range of different influences to label head, Stefano Ritteri’s music alongside a killer, cosmic house remix by WOLF Music’s, Medlar.
Giving a fresh take on an ‘80s sound, ‘Dope Mania’ slams with rough rhythms, snappy drum machine sequences and warped vocal samples. It wouldn’t be a Ritteri track without a generous helping of analogue synthwork - heavyweight hazy pads sending you straight back to the old school, yet interspersed within a modern, modulating Viaggio sound.
Having been a fan of Medlar’s work for many years, Ritteri enlists the WOLF Music and Delusions Of Grandeur family member to provide a driving, spaced-out house cut full of frenetic arps, crunchy 808 hits, sci-fi samples and an insatiable bassline that’s bound to cause a stir.
Closing it out, ‘Ready For Tonight’ weaves African samples and joyous refrains to form a punchy, bubblegum-esque number. And with all these tracks getting heavy rotations from the likes of Axel Boman, Midland , Kincaid, Soul Clap and many more, it’s destined to become a certified weapon for any discerning DJ.

PREMIERE : Stefano Ritteri - Dope Mania (Medlar Remix )

UK based Tecwaa background is in the early Yorkshire rave scene, which makes you understand his music on a deeper level. His tasteful turning of knobs on the Roland 303 takes you back to in time to an early morning somewhere round 1990 with a diesel generator pushed to the limit roaring somewhere in the background. But Tecwaa music is a lot more than a trip in time: the sound is modern and extremely well produced where the few but exquisite sounds hook in to each other naturally and creates a round solid groove. 
The sound varies from airy and light in ”Xentaeh” to warmer and heavier in the other track ”Ci”. What goes for the sound overall is the somewhat surprising elements in how the songs develop, both in rhythm and sound wise. Teecwa music bare traces of trance, rave, early techno and so on but you could call it ”uplifting, psychedelic leftfield electro” and this is his first release on Höga Nord Rekords.
