We had the absolute honor & privilege to perform at the Daybreaker SF: Peace Tour located at the breathtaking Grace Cathedral. This is the live 2-hour recording (Dancing Mandy is the first half, DJ Denise is the second half). Thank you for listening!

Playing Daybreaker at Grace Cathedral was incredibly meaningful for me on so many levels. Growing up singing in church choir was my first connection to music, so being able to DJ in a house of worship (in my wedding dress!) really brought my musical journey full circle. I thought deeply about what to play, and decided that it was really important to play soulful, uplifting house music, the music that unapologetically spreads love in the face of judgement, the music that was created (and still is) to bring fellowship to so many Black, gay, and other marginalized groups when organized religion did not support them. For so many, house music IS church — the only church where they feel 100% loved and accepted for who they are. Bringing these seemingly two diametric opposites under one roof was a powerful experience and I’m so grateful to Daybreaker and Grace Cathedral for making it happen. So as Jack said…Let There Be House!

For anyone that missed out, Frequency was a whole damn vibe. Downstairs, upstairs, everyone brought their A game and luckily, we here at NOHP make sure we record everything so you can still experience how excellent the music was the entire night. First out the gate is DTR from Big Puffy Yellow. Our guy did the damn thing and kept the dancefloor moving!
