Some V/As are dubious in their length, seeming to span both EP and mini-compilation length in equal measure, but not this one, which definitely seems to know what it's about. Moiss Music are no stranger to this format, here presenting their second vinyl release 'Watermelon Jam' after the first EP-length four tracker, 'Strawberry Jam'. Nu-disco, funk and house is the name of the game once again, and the tone is set by C Da Afro's 'That Funky Horn' via sample-filtering soul and raucous trumpets. The vocal cuts on this record are among its highlights; Disco Endeavours' 'So High' carries Brandy-esque chirps along a funking house backdrop, while the best of the bunch - 'Feelin's Mutual' by Pookie Knights - channels Carmen or Sylvester in its syrupy refrains and jet-set arps. Even a samba house bit closes it off - a swell all-rounder.

Continuing on with the successful run of singles from Produced with Love II, we have Mistura featuring Toronto-based poet Jemini. Brand new versions come from someone who needs no introduction - Jamie Odell aka Jimpster. His Jazz'd Up mix starts off stripped right back, based around a 303 bassline, it builds and builds and builds ending with a deep powerful version that satisfies both the soul and dance floor. His Peak Time Deepness'mix does exactly what it says on the tin, locking you in for some heads-down grooving that will keep you coming back for more.

The original from Dave Lee bubbles with a p-funk boogie bassline, tight disco drums, sublime piano work, and heaps of sparkling synth flourishes.

New York Born, Madrid domiciled @casbah-73 has been on fire over the last couple of years tearing it up with some sublime releases on Lovemonk, Boogie Angst and Glitterbox. Creating modern disco very much in his own image his tracks always stand out with obvious care attention to detail and a whole lot of love injected into their DNA.

His latest see's him continue his ongoing partnership with the excellent Madrid based @Lovemonk imprint which has previously borne some real gems. They have quite handily brought in Disco legend Dimitri From Paris @dfp on remix duties of Doing Our Own Thing and as you might expect from this heady combination of exciting upstart and legendary production wizard the resulting track is pretty incredible.
