Welcome to the twenty-sixth TELECAST. A series of podcasts that will be released mostly monthly. With the humble aim of combining the music I find, love and want to share into a set for everyone to enjoy. Hopefully, it will become your go-to place for a fix of good music.

This time, the Telecast is a recording from one of the first all-nighters in a long time. Thought to treat everyone to an extra-long 4-hour set. The first four of that evening. It went off the rails a bit after that but let me know if you're interested and maybe I'll upload the full set as well.

Hey Burners,

this year was a tough one. A lot of people got sick.. less art but many big soundsystems and stages loaded with masculin energy. In my opinion most of them failed to really create a vibe, to bring in some love. The whole burn seemed like a proper full on rave. Why does it always need to be so big? Why so over-ambitious? Make it small, cosy, welcoming with a soul.. The music was very forward, bigroom, techno or trance heavy. Not so inspiring to me. I dont think ill be back in Tankwa anytime soon. So this is also a bit of goodbye music for all these wonderful souls that we’ve met onto this big journey that started here with a lighthouse over two years ago. Its a compilation of the tracks that i’ve played at my gigs this year, mostly the owl on friday and hauptbahnhof on tuesday.

Finally made it to Garbicz Festival! What an experience, what a vibe and top it all off I was kindly invited by the wonderful @ssugark to mix for the lovely @hedone-berlin crew at the Sagrada Feminina. The crew made me feel immediately at ease and so I began with a downtempo'ish / groovy vibe and as the night progressed things got heavier, things got sweatier until I ended up topless because of the heat coming off the dance floor ! I had immense fun and could not help smile during all of my set! It was Thursday night 00:30 - 02:30 

A huge thank you again to Sugark and the Hedoné crew and all those who were there dancing their hearts out was truly magical!

➢ I hope you agree to answer a few fun and random questions to share with our listeners? 

Good morning my J ! You hope well… I agree !

➢ To start you off tell us what song puts you in a good mood in the morning? 

Actually a track that has just been released is making my mornings. It’s «Painting of Relaxation» from Kalabrese and Kayak. I love the flow, the voice and it’s a 15 minutes track, perfect for walking to my workplace. Otherwise it's a song (that will be hard to dethrone) «Pour Aisha» from S.A.M. I listen to it almost everyday and especially in the morning. You should try the entire album.

➢ Tell us briefly why the name Atropos ? 

The Acherontia Atropos known as the death’s-head hawkmoth came to me because I love moths and what they represent, as a spirit animal : to never despair and that there is always light available when we seek it.

➢ You have played a lot of b2b's tell us one or two things you that love playing b2b's that you don't get when just DJ'ing alone? 

I love playing b2b’s and obviously sometimes you have deeper connections with some people you play with. When you really fit with someone while doing a b2b you inspire each other, the mix is crazy ! you don’t know the next track but you have to choose the next one. It’s a great complicit time !

➢ 2020 has been a difficult year for the music scene, how has it changed in your hometown and what do you think will change in the future? 

It's hard to put to the side our social relations. I'm staying positive like always and regarding the future the choice is not always given but there will be a lot of good that will come as a result of this crisis. Like with all bad things actually. 

➢ Lastly, regarding this mix, can you tell us a bit about your thought process behind the tracks you chose?

For this set, and for many others, I take a visual picture my current tracks of the moment but also of my mood and my music crate diggings. This time I am mixing some groovy disco with ketapop all on a downtempo flow.
