Anomaly Detection 006 - Astatine 

We have a really special guest for the 6th entry. I am delighted to introduce to Hungarian DJ and producer Astatine. This Budapest-based artist has a special connection with music, starting his musical journey by playing the violin and evolving into techno production, which he has been doing for 4 years now.

Astatine has crafted a playful but aggressive style inspired by the early hard techno sound. This raw style can be heard in his unique productions and the released tracks of his own label, RAVEU. With support from the likes of CTSD, ALIVEMAEX, SPFDJ, and Berlin duo Blame The Mono, and with releases on ENNEATRAX, Aktivv, and his own label, it is clear that he will have a promising future in our scene.

The first track I ever heard from Astatine was his release in Aktivv’s VA, Click, which sent me into a rabbit hole of his other productions. I was so impressed that I had to reach out to him for an AD set. Personally, I believe that Astatine is a clear example of how hard music should be: stylized, old-school, groovy, and fresh but familiar at the same time.
