When writing "When Eagles Cry" I wanted to capture a certain feeling of nostalgia. Everyone has certain things, moments, sounds, smells etc. that makes them remember moments from their past. It's difficult to describe this feeling in words but personally I find it slightly depressive but positive and euphoric at the same time. The Eagles stand as a metaphor for the memories of the past that cry out when we encounter these moments of nostalgia... the smell of rain on asphalt, the neon lights that light up a city at night or weirdly for me architecture from the 80s. 

What gives you nostalgia?
