“Revolt is our attempt at interlacing the club night experience with a holistic experience of creativity and experimentation," they say.  "Each edition features a unique art installation made by artists from Edinburgh and beyond, as well as uniquely-crafted sounds and visuals from residents Petfood and Harley Beentjes.

DJs & live percussion… everything from disco, funk and soul to electro and house: Saturday night party music all night long.

One of the longest running club nights at Bongo, Mumbo Jumbo is a genuine stalwart of the programme, its experienced residents – Trendy Wendy & Steve Austin – setting the pace for over 14 years now with their own special formula.

Expect to hear a good-time mix, as Wendy and Steve mine underground hits and rare nuggets alongside upfront club shakers and future classics for a rich dance floor seam, exploring the many shades of disco and house, all accompanied by the energised Mairi B on percussion – a proper party soundtrack.

Upstairs every month: YBZ Collective - DJs Harry, Brodie, Josh, Zoe & Gilbert - play a mix of Garage, Techno, DnB, Grime, Dub & Rave.

Newcomer Harry Jackson has taken the Bongo by storm in the last couple of years, returning time and again to rinse out his brand of nu skool, tech-steppin' dnb & jungle flavours at weekly Tuesday night dnb session Midnight Bass, to a rapturous crowd response.

His energy, appetite and sheer passion for the scene is such that in December '22 he launched his own Thursday night dnb party, Disorder. 

Thus far, the night has championed London's Enta plus Myth and Disorder (both from Bristol), with another special guest (TBA) headlining their next date on Thursday 9th November.

Relative newcomers to Bongo, Tais-Toi have only put on four events at the club so far but they've all been packed.  Their DJ Heartstring date (January) and MRD (July) are both particularly memorable.
