Ostgut Ton aficionado Anthony Parasole has helped keeping New York techno in the headlines over the last decade. The long time Halcyon store worker is not only a co-partner in Deconstruct Music with Levon Vincent, but he also runs his own no holds barred label, The Corner.  There is a very real sense of grit and streetwise attitude in everything he does, from the music he makes to the sets he lays down, and that raw energy never fails to consume all those who experience it. 

The podcast he serves up here is a near three hour live recording of him playing a warm up set on home turf at Output, New York.  As such it finds him really stretching his legs, starting out dark and atmospheric before journeying into more airy ambience, melodic slo jams and spaced out techno. Keeping a vibe alive for extended periods of time is no mean feat, but is something that Parasole truly excels as evidence here when he invites you deep down into his very personal rabbit hole.

I know I haven't been uploading alot of jungle lately, but imma try to get back on that! I bounce back and forth between Boom Bap and Jungle.
Finished this track up around 1:30 AM last night on my MPC,  i started working on it around 1 AM the night before. I decided to use the Helicopter break for drums this time, along with various other breakbeats i mashed up and combined with it, so yeah. Hope you enjoy it!

I finally got an Akai S2000, and I love it sooo much, it's like practically all I've ever wanted.

I started working on the samples for this track yesterday, then finished it up with the sequencing in Renoise this morning. All sounds are coming from the Akai S2000 put through a Mackie mixer.

Pad sample is from "Marooned" by Pink Floyd.

This tune, this tune right here is where it's at, I think I hit a sweet spot with this one.
I tried to get the amens to be as heavy as possible, I was tired of my bass constantly being really soft in my tunes so in this one I amped it up to a good amount, but not too much. Once again all sounds from the Akai S2000 controlled by Renoise. Really enjoyed making it, this sampler is amazing, hope you enjoy listening to it!
