I let my sister listen to one of my songs one day and she asked me why not make a song about Facebook and social network addiction? I said, hey that's a good idea! So when I went home I started writing Hoy Adik!

In 1995, the world got its first taste of Alikabok when a group of friends got together for a high school battle of the bands. At that point, the band had discovered its passion for music. But it took another 17 years for the members to fully realize it. Armed with a more mature perspective and a refreshed lineup, Alikabok is geared to change the OPM landscape, one hit at a time.

Vocals: Bong Cervantes
The accidental vocalist started his musical journey by writing songs in high school. A shy person by nature, Bong did not have plans to venture into the music industry until he replaced Alikabok's intended vocalist in the battle of the bands that started it all. After the band's short-lived stint, Bong tried his hands at being a bassist before flying to Kuwait to earn a living for his family. Bong decided to go back to the homeland 10 years later. This turned out to be the right decision because soon after, Alikabok rose up from the proverbial ashes and since then, never looked back.

Guitars: Jojo Reyes
At 12 years old, Jojo's love affair with the guitar began. What started as a hobby became an obsession and soon enough, he looked for opportunities to showcase his growing talent. He joined Guitar Adrenaline in 2007 to meet kindred souls, and later on was introduced to Alikabok by the band's bassist, Jerome. Although his influences (Dream Theater, Metallica, Pantera) differ from the band's musical direction, Jojo sees this as a challenge rather than an obstacle. He constantly works on incorporating his unique technique to the band's material.
One day, he plans on making an instructional video and conducting a guitar clinic for kids who want to follow in his footsteps.

Guitar: Jim Morrero
Jim completes Alikabok's lineup by bringing in the timeless quality of his blues background. An accomplished guitarist whose excellence encompasses every genre, his technical know-how is a valuable contribution to a band that aims to dominate the airwaves. Along with his extensive knowledge and experience in the music industry, Jim will surely help catapult Alikabok to the top of the OPM charts.

Drums: Kaloy Cruz
A business man by profession, a lawyer by accident, a fireman at heart, and with the soul of a musician. This is how Kaloy describes himself. His passion for music and self-expression never wavered despite the waves of change life brought at every turn. He continues to make music with Alikabok and shows no sign of stopping.

Bass: Jerome Salvado
Another accidental, yet equally welcome, addition to the band, Jerome didn't start out as a bassist. His beginnings leaned towards the guitar, with influences ranging from Metallica to Guns 'N Roses. But due to his "Iron Man" build, he found that the guitar was too puny an instrument to contain his awesomeness. Jerome then shifted to the bass, and promptly fell in love. Much like the bass, Jerome doesn't make the most noise, but more than compensates for it for bringing on the groove.
