After more than a year since the release of Oddness Vol. IV, we're thrilled to return with a new chapter of sonic exploration: Oddness Vol. V. This latest volume continues our mission to uncover and share rare, unconventional sounds and rarities.

The compilation features a diverse and international lineup of innovative producers: Ludviq & Radial Gaze, YemeroFoni, Specter, Petr Stancl, and Chicharron. Each artist contributes a distinct perspective, creating a rich and unpredictable journey through deep, hypnotic, and genre-bending tracks.

Ludviq & Radial Gaze – “Alpha Acid”A powerful collaboration between Barcelona-based Ludviq and Berlin-based Radial Gaze, Alpha Acid delivers a mesmerizing mix of hypnotic textures, chunky basslines, mind-bending percussion, and immersive deep vocals. A true dancefloor burner with a psychedelic edge.

Dan ChiCharron – “Zapette”
Dan ChiCharron takes us into a dreamlike twilight world where ephemeral characters appear
and disappear, disrupting the trance state just long enough to rekindle it with renewed energy. With a mechanical bassline and unpredictable breaks, Zapette paints a surreal, shifting sonic landscape—strange, entrancing, and irresistibly danceable.

YemeroFoni – “Padell”
YemeroFoni presents Padell a raw, hypnotic track that fuses distorted rock textures with the dark, jungle-inflected energy of indie dance. Gritty guitars, propulsive rhythms, and an atmospheric tension define a sound that resonates perfectly with the shadowy and rebellious identity of the label.

Specter – “Dr. Melendrez”
Dr. Melendrez is a dive into dark, mysterious territory. Specter crafts a foreboding atmosphere using organic tribal rhythms, acid sequences, and electric pulses. The result is an eerie sonic journey—a descent into the unknown, where menace and magnetism coexist.

Petr Stancl – “Special Smoke”

"Am Zug" is the first release of our new single series, making a return to the label, Nick Hanzo collaborates with Ludviq, the head honcho of the label, to create a special and fast-paced track, Am Zug, highlights a combination of trippy synths and percussions, paired with an energetic bass line. This suggests a dynamic and engaging musical journey, blending different elements to create a unique sound with a mix of psy and frenetic vibes.

Nick Hanzo's EP "Frequent Habits," takes listeners on a trip into his primary passion — exploring different frequencies that evolve into a dance-inducing art form. Each track showcases Hanzo's skill in weaving electronic beats and intricate melodies, creating a sonic potion that invites the audience to lose themselves in the rhythm. With a remarkable talent for discovering new soundscapes, the head of Belly Dance Services demonstrates his eclectic approach that shines through the EP, fluidly coalescing electronic beats and intricate melodies.

Balam, an Argentinian producer/DJ, brings an acid interpretation, suggesting a different flavor to Hanzo's original track. Following that, the dynamic girl duo Moozeic from Brazil offers a remix with a unique and psychedelic sound, contributing their own twist to the musical journey. Lastly, Ludviq, the label head, closes the EP with a trippy version and a clubby vibe for "Frequent Habits," showcasing his take on the original tracks.

For the second delivery of our single series, comes "Códice" a fascinating collaboration between Globemaster and Baltazart, blending the sounds of the north and southwest of Mexico into a mesmerizing electronic progressive groove. The idea of combining synthesizers and encrypted sounds to create layers of music that unveil sonic secrets with each beat is intriguing. The result would be a hypnotic and immersive experience, with elements of both Indie Dance and Experimental Electronic music. This fusion of regional influences and modern electronic techniques could offer a unique and captivating auditory journey.

Globemaster & Baltazart - Códice (Original Mix)

After the successful launch of "Recuerdo Futuro" produced by Moisees and ZEA, both based in CDMX; we all decided to re-release it as an EP, now loaded with remixes and a new original. “Recuerdo Futuro “is a flash of the forgotten rave parties of the nineties, the nostalgia of a past that was not lived. For the second original “Ondas” it combines House, trance and some Indie vibes, as a result it’s a dancefloor killer.

Followed by the remixes, for the first remix we have one of the most talented producers in Mexico and founder of Duro together with Moisees, Theus Mago, arrives with a "Sexy" and quite groovy version. Followed by the Mexican star Mystery Affair, who lands with a very trance and acidic remix. Finally we have a new collaboration between Ludviq & Rina, with a darker and deeper remix, with hypnotic and mystical vocals, perfect to close the EP.

The Ep is  well-crafted offering some unique sound, while maintaining a cohesive theme and vibe. It's a testament to the creativity and collaboration, definitely one of our finest releases.

PREMIERE: Moisees & ZEA — Recuerdo Futuro (Mystery Affair Remix) [Bonkers Music]

For the third delivery of our single series lands again in the label the Mexican artist, Ives Barceló, incorporating the sounds and ambiance of Mexico City, particularly from its metro and other bustling locales, adds a unique and authentic dimension to his music.

The fusion of these urban elements with the Techmex/Indie style is intriguing, promising a fresh and vibrant listening experience.

The emphasis on a dynamic rhythm, powerful bass line, and lively synths suggests an energetic and immersive sonic journey. It seems like "Distrito" will capture the essence of Mexico City while pushing boundaries creatively.

“Anton’s House”

How did a cocktail bar organ player become a hero to the disaffected and the alienated? After absorbing a hodge-podge of philosophies from Nietzsche, Mencken, H.P. Lovecraft and Ayn Rand, in 1966 he shaved his head and declared the year ‘Anno Satanas’, the first year of the Church Of Satan. 

Although it was pretty clear it was mostly a commercial enterprise, Anton LaVey used Satanism to show up the hypocrisy of the mass media. “Satan” is this instance was actually a metaphor for a force for positive change, being opposed by entrenched power structures in church and state.
Although a flawed yet fascinating character, like Funboys, he didn’t take himself terribly seriously, as demonstrated by the interview featured in this track.

Funboys were hypnotized when they lay this piece of audio against a storm of clashing bass riffs emanating from the ancient synthesizers still pulsing in dark corners of their studio.  They think Anton, as a player of the mighty Wurlitzer organ himself,  may well have approved!

“JuJu Talk” gets its name from Funboys producer’s pet name for his vintage forty year old polysynth, the Roland Jupiter 8. It’s sound can be heard best at 3.12, painting a fluttering backdrop to bubbling acid lines from the Devilfish.

To close “Anton’s House” Ep, the dynamic duo strikes again, Ludviq & Nick Hanzo with a mental and drifting version + some crazy vocals coming from Nick.
For the second and last remix, hailing from Berlin, Heidenreich lands with a driving and clubby version of “Juju Talk”, perfect for peak time raves.

To close the Ep for the first time in the label, hailing from Guatemala, founder of Club Azul Rosa and Club Solemne, also with huge releases on Hard Fist and Belly Dances Services, brings us a very catchy version of “Tango Together”, marking always his Latino sound and his own trippy vocals, perfect to close the Ep.
