I bought a 70 dollar beanie and I wasted so much money to forget about the death anniversary. Wasting so much money and taking huge risks to go to trivial concerts, where even I cant get a win. Only scams.
I wondered when shit is going to happen.

This is a eulogy to the late great Janie, one of my best friends, and a collection of unbridled melodies laced with deep dark fantasys, nightmares, and thoughts condensed in a single stream so they can leave and shut the fuck up, cold turkey. This is a bittersweet sendoff to one of my favorite people in the whole world, one who inspired me to start NTIX as a whole. we luv u.

Dub, techno, house, and grime is laced and rooted throughout these vignettes, inspired by their favorite genres and their pure musical vision. They never wanted to release anything and preferred to have passive influence and oversight in NTIX. However, their contributions should be highlighted, with their amazing talent in instruments. It was hard when they left. It is always hard to see one who you have had a vulnerable connection to die. Emotions got the best of me, rare occurrence. I can hide it however I want but it is visible that my life has changed. Syntax was an elevated experience and kept getting better until they passed, and then everything tumbled and fell down. I honored them in an emotional yet powerful live set back in January which veered into this project. I hope you enjoy this as well as I had making it. New things coming soon, no more running away.

We found this album in a weird website/forum made by a weird person. The website was filled with black and had a lot of imagery, seemingly religious, some abstract. Supposedly his name was Gary Olione, One of my friends richard (faxit.bandcamp.com) found this and shared it to everybody else from NTIX. The only other information surrounding this was the tracklist and the music.

Later we contacted him and he was actually a good guy. He was a nice guy, and we asked him if we can release it. He said alright if it shows he made it. So yeah.

(Update.) Turns out, this Gary Olisone guy isn't a real character and was all a fabricated alias of a really big artist. However we don't know who this artist is. Keep on check if we have new updates on this situation.

Yes we realize that we have posted the second version of syntax a whopping 4 days after it, and we regret nothing. This release was actually curated and created by bonkoloid, give him props. A more breakbeat and fast-paced mini-album than the prior release "Syntax 1", this is inspired by the drill and bass scene, and the shibuya-kei scene as well. Full of cold glitchy beats and nintendo synths, shallow depression and energetic joy, it is a fun experience.

Bonkoloid's experimenting in ambient music. Created from 2000's UK Dubstep, glitch, and house synth samples, the artist creates 6 tracks, all with different notions and sounds in mind. These songs originate from ideas of sampled plunderphonic orchestras, and synthetic creation of skin. Some tracks are ambient reworks of songs made couple years ago (track5). Most of the tracks can be maybe classified as brone, or brobient. (Brobient/Brone is a style of ambient music by paulstretching Brostep sounds into droning ambient stories.) Bonkoloid creates an all-encompassing and noisy ambient nocturne, set in 5 movements, and a final casting call, the swan song of the album, before the character dies and regains life to create a new form of wave music, in a side 1/side 2 fashion. Side A is tracks 1-3, which were created 2 months ago during a trip to the studio where all of the releases in NTIX pre-Casino Factory was made. Side B is tracks 4-6, recorded at the studio and garage, newly renovated. A look back and a course anew.

act 4 _bury me|ambi_

Starting the last quarter of the Syntax series, bonkoloid presents a new album, Syntax 9.

This album is based on busking. Busking is the act of playing music in the street or a public place in order to get donations. bonkoloid used this as a vessel. "I had an idea of recording street performers and buskers and mixing them down and shit into an album, but it didn't feel complete and also it seemed like a lazy idea. So, I tried to create busking of my own."

For the album, bonkoloid sampled loads of tribal drum sounds, baroque compositions, orchestral music, and old 60s and 70s acoustic ballads. Combining the warm and classical sound of these instruments with bonkoloid's lo-fi and grim sound design delivers an immediate duality of the past and future. This was set for an artistic motive in mind, to experiment with creating a steadily futuristic city, and seeing how the people inside it change over time. "I always feel really contemplative about how buskers are playing in streets and shit, yet they get minimal amounts of money. Surrounded by unknown fucking people playing to get at least like something to eat is terrible but it's basically what most people who make music in the first place are trying to do, whether popular or not."

The only dance-able tracks on here are only track 3 and 6, all lowercased to show the contrast with the ambient pieces. Talking to us more, bonkoloid reveals his stance about making dance music as of now. "I really hate making dance music, man. Because it is hard for me to find value in steady beats, sometimes I do have dance tracks I create that I think have potential to be released. I'm way more interested in sound design now, well as of right now because I don't know if that will change. I think dance music as a vessel to make my artistic goals is kinda fucking hard because dance music is made to be enjoyed and danced to, but yknow for this album especially, and the shit that I'm gonna do for the next 3 releases, it's gonna feel angry and depressing. I think thats fitting for the last quarter of Syntax, I feel like syntax has grown up long enough with happiness and naivety from the first 6 releases that the latter half has to be dark, big fucking contrast I'm trying to make."

He also shared with us a story. "I'm gonna go on a tangent. Band near my house is fucking amazing, they play like madmans. These people are fucking old as hell too so they got wisdom. I live in the most weirdest part of town since I'm at the border of the main city and the suburban area. The dudes always end around 12 in the night, and they pack up their stuff and close their garage door. Recently, they haven't been playing, cause they used to play mostly everyday, think like 4 times a week idk i listened to them passively. turns out in early august they had to sell the house in order to get money for expenses, and now they are just living in the streets. went downstairs from my apartment complex and walked to where they were, now they were busking and only 2 people were listening. It was sad. That change of environment really fucked em up, man. I felt bad, i gave em 50. Going outside more is a blessing and a curse. This definitely inspired the album heavy. I hope they are okay, they shouldn't be in that situation."

"Syntax 9" is an album with a mood of surrendering and apathy. Using grim sounds and pensive atmosphere, bonkoloid creates a story over public dystopia.

he sent me this tape with videos and everything at abt. 3:30 in the morning his time, this bitch is not ok rn. before it was rambles on and ON about this person he kidnapped and drowned, his increasing friend circle of bitches, drug dealers, and homeless people. The music is noisy, overwhelming, punky, no sign of ANY breathing room, whatsoever. this music sounds like snippets of a drugged out adventure of a city, with only small vivid memories to guide what happened.

This album feels like its an interrogation scene. theres fogged memory between two witnesses, an alcoholic who drives radically to whatever bar, show, or strip club he can get into, and a helpless victim of the man's alcoholism. they run and try to find help, while he tries to intoxicate himself until he can't feel anything anymore. its a fucking rampage.

it is halloween right now when im writing this shit and this is definitely a scary, chilling album. its fitting because it is the month of october but this schizophrenic feeling started even before this month. i havent talked to him that much compared to now where he looks devastated and crazy. i only hope that floyd is doing okay right now 'cause i hope that this is only temporary.
