The Betamax Project is the temporary demo stage of Bonney Maes looking for a band.

About 2001 I stopped playing music in a band but for some reason tunes kept poppin' up in my mind. These tracks are the actual demo's I recorded in those years by myself. I hope some of you like'm so much you'll be happy to work with me or come embrionic fans...
Anyway, I'm planning a first rehearsal with some volunteers...as of July 2011....It's aliiiiiive!

2012…I found a partner in crime that was willing to produce and co-work on the filmic project ‘The do’s and don’ts of a pornografic artist.’ 

Mr Bootsie Butsenzeller was a major part of getting this project and songs recorded. He produced and co-wrote on all the participating tracks of ‘The do’s and don’ts of a pornografic artist’

A bittersweet, fun and slightly dirty minded look on the midlife crisis of a male performer trying to raise kids. It’s tacky, it’s raunchy, it’s laughing with the male ego…it’s the Betamax Project.

2023…we’re at it again…50 songs in the pipeline dating back from my previous post…but we’re doing it oldskool live.

In the meanwhile I further developed my huge love for 70’s glamrock and you can hear it in the later demos.

2024…my old partner in crime is my new partner in crime;-) 
Mr Butsenzeller and Mr Dirk Wouters are part of the ensured succes that Betamax will become!
