I’m thrilled to present my latest EP out on Critical Monday, produced in my studio in Marseille before I made the move to Berlin. 
It’s been a journey of creativity, inspiration, and personal reflection.

The first track, “Her Revolution”, has a deep personal meaning for me. For a long time, I’ve wanted to sample Madonna's iconic speech at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards in 2016, where she spoke powerfully about her experiences as a woman in the music industry. Her resilience and strength have always resonated with me, and as a woman navigating the same industry, her words feel even more relevant. I’ve also included a sample of her timeless classic “Frozen”, which is something I rarely do, but it felt perfect for this moment. This track is my homage to her legacy and my own message to share.

On the remix, I’m beyond excited to collaborate with Brazilian producer Knorst. I’ve been following his work for a while and I’m a huge fan of his smart, polished production. He took “Her Revolution” to a whole new level, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

The second track, “Walking The Distance”, is a rave-inspired anthem that I released a few months back. It’s got that raw, high-energy sound I was craving at the time, and I even lend my voice to it!

Back to touring has been nothing but fun, joy and happiness! It took another dimension for me and I can say that I'm proud of it.

This fucking covid time proved (I already knew it) that we owe everything to our audience! without them, nothing happens!!

Premiere: Bonnie Spacey - Energy - Critical Monday

Critical Monday is back for the first release of 2024 with a 3 track EP from the boss herself: Bonnie Spacey, embarking you on a sonic journey through pulsating beats and mysterious vibes, a mesmerizing fusion somewhere between rock and techno as she likes to call it. 

In « En Cavale », the last track of the EP, Bonnie leaves english for her native french. With lighter sounds and cheerful melodies, this may seem like the softest track of the EP, but the lyrics refer to current events and wars happening in different parts of the world, suggesting that in many situations, the only solution left is to go on the run!

Premiere: Bonnie Spacey - Don't Let Me Down [Critical Monday]

Our thirteenth guest hails from France.

Bonnie Spacey, French and Marseille based Dj/Producer, has been rocking the dance floors since 2016.

She had her musical light bulb moment after hearing Miss Kittin & The Hacker for the first time. It was the turn of the millennium and this introduction led her to dive deeper and deeper into electronic music. When she eventually decided to pursue it herself, as a DJ and producer, she began to pair these sounds with another of her formative influences, her intrinsic love of guitars, which was passed down through her guitarist father.

She explores the intersection of these sounds though indie dance, heady techno and dark disco, in both her DJ sets and her own output. « Don’t », her first single, was an immediate success and played by Dixon, Jennifer Cardini and many others. Since then, she accumulated numerous releases on serious labels such as Phisica, Jeahmon! And Lumière Noire to name a few. This led her to perform on prestigious international clubs such as the Kaputt Club (Bogota), Bar Oriente (Mexico), Sisyphos and Renate (Berlin), Sala Upload (Barcelona) or Club Control (Bucarest).

As a space to share her own music and those of likeminded artists, in 2019 she launched Critical Monday, a label dedicated to a club-ready concoction of techno and rock-orientated music. So far she’s welcomed the likes of Curses, Rafael Cerato, Shubostar, Tony Y Not, Günce Aci and Mala Ika to the imprint, all of whom share her love of these potent sonics.

In this episode, she curated for us an eclectic mix of indie dance and electro soundscapes that we are sure you will enjoy.

As a prolific producer, she has released tracks on prestigious labels like Exploited, Phisica, Jeahmon!, and Lumière Noire, to name a few. 

In 2019, she founded Critical Monday, where she dropped the single « Don’t » which immediately garnered success, suported Dixon and Jennifer Cardini.
