Drop That

We are pleased to reveal the first release from a new vinyl label and blog. Bare Bones Recordings are a purveyor of all things Deep House, and BBW001 is a Various Artists EP with individual tracks from four excellent artists. The idea is to showcase the various styles the label will put out with future releases.

Up first is Entrepot head honcho UC Beatz with “Dullness” which portrays a classic deep house sound, with a modern twist. Former Ruff Stuff member Flaze offers “Forty” that simply destroys dancefloors with an almost Techno feel. Fresh from recent releases on Burnski’s Aesthetic and North Wales label Floorpiece, Adam Nahalewicz’s track “Out There” is a deep minimalist workout. The final track from Slur “Uncaged” keeps the emphasis firmly on an underground tip with a real DJ weapon.

‘House Gangsta’ sets the scene with a classic vocal loop, jazzy chords and a bassline that snakes out, subtly evolving until the very end. It’s backed up all the way with premium behaviour: ‘Late Night H’ grabs our attention from the first couple of bars and keeps us locked through every bumping twist and turn, ‘Method’ takes us into a much darker pasture with an air of Detroitian diesel power while ‘Pursuit Of The Sound’ closes on a moment of sublime timeless house reflection. Shimmering keys, strings on the fills and a bass guitar plucked so tightly the pursuit is over before it even starts. 
Sounds as a pound; there’s nothing mad about this ‘Method’.

‘Love Against The World’ takes the lead. A 24 karat gold tease with its massive Gil Scott-Heron sample leading into a whopping two minute filtered build up. Cranking up the tension with every loop and twist until the beats kick in… This one will turn everything inside out. 
It’s in good company as the Toronto machine continues to jack us into submission. ‘You Be Doin’ It’ is pure Chicago class with its bumping beats and momentous bassline pumping away beneath the insistent, addictive vocal loop. ‘Pull Up On Meh’ keeps the vibe rolling with more filtered funk and just a little boogie thrown in for good measure. 
Three dope cuts, tailored for no one but the connoisseurs… Demuir never fails.

Ray Mono steps up for the 3rd release on META with a slammer of a three track EP.
Ray has been making a name for himself in the last year with a string of must have releases expanding on the sound initiated on META and INKAL with expertise and a sure ear for a bassbin shaking floorfiller.
A1. First Contact kicks of the EP with jacking swung beats and a killer bassline building up to an atmospheric break that will surely drive dancefloors wild.
