Boo Lean (Lauren Goshinski) kicks off a new series with a trip down memory lane. Screening a visual album she created in the Haskell-Baker Wetlands of Lawrence, KS, for electronic composer Nadia Khan during the height of Covid-19 summer 2020. Port Ana is an exploration of site, solitude, and scale. She follows it up live in the studio with a loose collection of tracks: albums purchased from Love Garden Sounds in Lawrence, and related artists / vibes then & now.

For the next few weeks, we'll be kicking off the Hot Mass podcast series with sets from all of our residents, starting with recordings from the recent Hot Mass x Berlin party at Ohm Berlin. @Boo-Lean, a driving force in Pittsburgh’s music and art scenes, is co-founder of the VIA festival as well as the girlFx crew. She delivers 002 of the Mass Cast, which set the crowd off with her set of sweaty bass-oriented house, techno, and broken beats.
