Wow!! The day after Guy J asked me about a possible remix for L&F and I've had no doubts! Working on it I’ve decided to keep the original melody which was the first thing I falled in love with, after that I’ve tailored the new dress and structure trying to re-locate the song at pick time."

One of Dancing Astronaut’s artists to watch in 2017 and the man behind one of the most impressive debuts of 2016, Beatport #1 album ‘One Day of Independence’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found, returns to home ground. This time in the shape of a total of 5 stupendous remixes by some of electronic music’s most intriguing and brightest shining stars.

Diynamic’s Lehar, microCastle’s Luca Bachetti, Anjundadeep’s Patrice Baumel, Kompakt’s Termoment and Lost & Found head honcho Guy J have each reinterpreted their favourite off Khen’s future classic debut.

Starting off the sonic voyage is Luca Bachetti’s groovish take on ‘Authentica’ Adding to the recognisable lead melody, he gives the track an almost cinematic and atmospheric treatment that leaves you longing for more.

‘Imaginal Cells’ has been repurposed by the label boss himself into what can most succinctly be described as behemoth of melodic goodness. With trippy FX details and a serene breakdown, this remix is set for greatness as a future Guy J classic.

Essential New Tune recipient Patrice Baumel attempts to repeat recent hit with his Cubicolor remix by taking on ‘Land of Goshen’. Taking the track to a more driving and pumping direction with a nod to 90s classic Trance, this track will cause a stir in sets at dusk as well as dawn.

A trippy vibe with hints of old school Acid and an uncanny detailed soundscape that will leave you in awe at the next after party it’s played just when the sun starts to rise. This is enigmatic pseudonym Termoment’s take on ‘One Day of Independence’.

Last but certainly not least and capping off a cohesive yet musically diverse remix EP is Diyanamic mainstay Lehar.

His take on the Khen and Guy J collabo ‘Prism’ turns the intensity of the original down in a very sophisticated way and takes the track to deeper waters. With an infectious melody that marries the familiar underlying key elements of the original in perfect symbiosis, it provides a dreamy textbook ending to this EP

The 11th edition of 'Four To The Floor' is here. Diynamic Music's very own various artist series, which is always comprised of four dancefloor-oriented tracks that have one special quality in common: they have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs all over the world.

Opening the record is a soaring Tech House train with the catchiest electric guitar-turn-string-turn-choir riff you will hear all year: 'Im So Crazy', originally released by Par-T-One in 2001, now remixed by Armonica.

Up next is German Brigante with 'Mango', a thumping bass heavy anthem with lots of old-school elements.

The third track 'Choose Life' by Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich has gained a lot of attention through Solomun's Tomorrowland set and features lyrics of Danny Boyle's critically acclaimed film 'Trainspotting'.

The exceptionally talented, Copenhagen-based Denis Horvat signs his first own release to Afterlife Recordings in ‘Modelo’, a three-track EP charged with spritely synth lines and charisma. The title track’s nine-and-a-half minute run time makes for a spellbinding journey, as the layers weave seamlessly into a vivid canvas of sound. ‘The Bender’ is more direct, lending itself to peak hours in the club with a buoyant bassline, sharp claps and melody of sirens. Ending the record is ‘Natural Causes’, an entrancing trip through dreamy arpeggios that grooves up-and-down, taking the dancers with it. These three cuts have proven vital in the sets of label owners Tale Of Us and and now see the light of day to continue the theme.

We are turning the page of our next edition of 'Terra Incognita', the third edition full of different and diverse paths it can lead the listeners to. Starting we reveal Habischman - the experienced Iranian producer, releasing his music via top notch labels as Noir Music, Dubfire's SCI+TEC and Get Physical. 'Aperture' comes as a great opener, conjuncted as a delicate blend of vintage dub-chords, elegant vocals and dramatic, hypnotic synths. Italian producer Stephan Jolk, who is putting out his music lately with Hommage and Beatfreak Recordings, can definitely make the synthesizers breathe. His 'Overdub' is a perfect combination of the minimalistic approach to the world of melodies: the pulsing melodic themes are wisely placed into sharply produced strained beat, which are coming together as a great tune as a result. US based artist Enamour has shown himself as a very promising artist, working with the labels as Yoshitoshi and Anjunadeep, so the stated words of Enamour to be a 'a curator of dark, infectious grooves and wistful atmospheres' is perfectly describing this talented producer at his best. 'Pet Paradox' is a firm thing, lying somewhere between genres and far ahead trends. Argentinian Tomy Wahl delivers his stomper 'Matka' next on the line: a powerful bass shaped track with a dramatic piano breakdown and glitchy proper drums. We close a pack with 'Hong Kong Harbour' track from Netherlands based producer Tom Zeta (Diynamic, Einmusika, KATERMUKKE). This work, mainly exposing with the main detuned synth sound, is finishing the exploration of another Terra Incognita, which became known to you now. Berlin-based duo Booka Shade, aka Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, have carved out a reputation as one of the most celebrated electronic acts to come out of Europe over the past two decades. 

With their beginnings in Frankfurt and their sights originally on synth-pop, the duo Booka Shade quickly gained a strong following within electronic music, and in 2002 the pairing formed the now legendary dance label Get Physical Music (together with M.A.N.D.Y., Thomas ‘DJ T.’ Koch and Peter Hayo), where they would have a platform for their own music. 

Three years later, in 2005, their EP’s ‘Mandarine EP’ and ‘Body Language’ - the latter co-produced with M.A.N.D.Y. - launched Booka Shade into the stratosphere with both EPs becoming international successes, whilst the following years soon welcomed an extensive body of work featuring a combination of stand out albums and singles that quickly achieved further global success.

Since their break-through performance at Sónar in 2005, Booka Shade have earned huge recognition with their innovative live shows, even being named one of Resident Advisor's Top 5 live acts in the world in 2010. They have opened for legendary acts such as Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk, whilst headlining stages at the likes of Coachella, Glastonbury, Rock Werchter, and Red Rocks just to name a few. In recent years, the band has appeared amongst the likes of DJ Mag’s ‘Alternative Top 100 DJ List’ (2018), whilst their notable live sets have led to key mentions amongst a host of distinguished festival reviews and round-ups, including placement within DJ Mag’s ’10 Unforgettable Sets From The History Of Exit Festival’.

Booka Shade were also inducted into Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame, having received strong support from the station throughout their careers, playing at both the ‘40 Years of Radio 1’ celebration with Annie Nightingale and the ‘20 Years of Essential Mix’ party, whilst also mixing Pete Tong’s ‘All Gone Ibiza’ compilation album. 

The duo’s fan base is in no way restricted to electronic music enthusiasts, with great success playing slots at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Lollapalooza, and more by utilising their massive crossover potential, which is as evident in their billings as it is in their remix credits, including acts like Depeche Mode, Moby, Hot Chip, Kings of Leon, Woodkid, The Knife and many more.

Add to the mix their Blaufield Music imprint, founded in 2013, and it’s clear and easy to see the pairing's musical knowledge not only as producers but also adept A&R’s, with releases to date on the imprint from both emerging and established talent alongside their own productions resulting in a string of releases and collaborations that can be regularly found amongst the upper end of Beatport’s Top 100 charts and championed by many of the industry’s biggest names.

Twenty years, dozens of EP’s and six albums later, Booka Shade have become more than a household name, they have become synonymous with the spirit which drives electronic music and have set a precedent to which electronic music is still held to today.
