I was born in Dayton, Ohio. I lived there until I was six, then moved to Johnson, South Carolina. That is when I decided to start pursuing my dream with music. Music has always been a long term dream ever since I could remember. I did not have the best childhood, but what I took from it has made me what I am today and able to write the music I do. What made me enjoy music even more was when I saw how much emotion could be released when writing. Being able to write down your emotions, be it anger, sadness, love or hurt without going to other resources was an outlet for me. I can remember hearing my mom sing, loud with harmony putting heart and tickle into her tune. Shadowing her sharing her pain as we went through hard times. Living with people was nerve wrecking. Father wasn’t around growing up. My mother played the role of both, holding us together. I remember asking my mom why my dad doesn’t want me in his life, when I’m his only son. We finally received the call we were waiting for from section 8 housing, we then moved to North Augusta SC. A whole new world opened up, I mean growing up you hears your grandparents speaking on racism, but to experience it first hand was different. Not from every individual, but you know there’s always someone wanting to push your buttons. I couldn’t blame them because their parents or role models raised them in that manner. But it didn’t last long, after hearing someone disrespects you over and over start to take a toll on you as a person. I was always afraid of meeting new people, at age 8 I was already getting put out of school for fighting. And with my mom taking care of six kids on her own was taking a toll on her. So just for more discipline my mother enrolled me and my younger brother into boxing academy. Started training, and going to church. My mom would do everything to keep us busy so we would not turn to the streets. With training and church discipline it awarded me with a trophy, not any award but a silver gloves champion trophy. That was the greatest moment of my life, to see all the hard work pay off. After winning the fight while still training for next fight I feel in love with music. I can remember sitting in my room with candles writing to different songs playing on the hand set radio. Saying I’m going to be one of the greatest, feeling like superman with no cape. Telling my story boldly with feelings and emotions, cough lots of eyes with in my youth.At a young age I enjoyed meeting new people, it was not as hard as I perceived it to be. Letting them hear what I had to give was the best part, seeing their reaction and the look on their faces was priceless. When I was 13, I moved to Gwinnett County, Atlanta, Georgia. I noticed everyone around me was into some form of music. I knew if I wanted to make it within the music industry I would have to be more competitive, strong-minded and more structured than most people or artists. You know I heard Kanye West say one time if you admirer someone then come out and tell them, people never get the flowers while they can still smell them. Time passed and pride hid my character unfortunately. My biggest role model was my cousin, Jacob Padgett also known as, Major Payne. Everything he did was with love and compassion. I thank God for blessing me with him and putting such a wonderful person in my life, hearing him sing was what made me want to be like him with all I did in music, even though he was only here for a short time. Major Payne passed away on March 19, 2009, that day I felt I lost a part of me. He taught me a lot about music and how to love it. Knowing that I’m doing something that reflects on him is the part that hurts, but doing what I love counts the most. But speaking it is one thing you can’t just wake up one morning an say I want to do this or I want to accomplish that. You have to want this as much as you want to breathe you have to believe in yourself first, before you can make the next step. Believing in yourself is not as easy as you would perceive, it takes lots of dedication, it’s also time consuming. Everything I’ve been through in my past and in my present, I feel is a message to help and comfort children and adults who might be going through the same thing and not know how to come out of their circumstances because they feel they have no way out. I know what it feels like to be left alone, I know what it feels like when nobody cares, I know what it feels like to not have your father around. I speak from my heart, that’s why music is so special to me, because it’s always been there for me through my tough times. I mean, let’s just be real, sometimes you don’t feel like hearing or understanding people’s advice.. So where do you turn? Some church, friends, parents, and ah, yes.. Music! Music is more than a five letter word. Music can express so much when you least expect it. Words give off life, and life can make another, and with another you will have double; and once you have double, you are unstoppable. Here’s why not only do you have yourself for support, but you have your word which is powerful to support you and hold you down through your toughest times. We speak life and death with our speeches.

Why am I passionate about what I do? 
I like the fact that I can write down how I feel or what I am going through without turning to other resources.
