David “DJ Select” Brown began mixing music at the age of 10 after discovering the turntable. Born July, 1978 in Queens, NY to Jamaican parents his influences range from his father, a musician and song writer, to popular Reggae artists such as Bob Marley and Buju Banton. He also adopted inspiration from various well known Hip Hop MC’s such KRS 1, Grand Master Flash, and Rakim. He emerged on the music scene in late 1990’s performing at various clubs, and private parties across the tri-state area. His hard work and phenomenal ear for music made him undeniably well known for his versatile style of mixing music from different musical genres. His festive mixes include but not subject to Dancehall, Hip Hop, R & B, and Pop.  In 2006 he relocated to Georgia where he quickly picked up the music styles of the dirty south. He openly embraced this unique style and began encompassing it in his music portfolio. With his outstanding selection of music and music entertainment experience, “DJ Select” is definitely living up to his entertainment name and is a rising star to watch on the DJ scene.
