I can relate to how Guru was feeling when he said what hes said here thats why any one can tell you that I always said that I wanted to use Guru"s intro in the begining of an instrumental CD. After being on 52nd street for so-long selling beats or just playing them for that matter you are met with alot of people who wanna be rappers some are good, but most aren't and its like damn! so When I was making this beat It just so happened that the thought came to me to us it menally I said "hmm lemme insert this Gangstarr intro off of their  Hard To Earn Album". 

Now where did Jay Z come in at? The beat just SOUNDED like something he should be on so I being a fan of frue hip hop and Jay-Z being one of the best rappers "alive" was key to demonstrate that its not always what you say its how you say it. How you ride the beat and to flow... the same lyrics differently in a different way on a different type of beat. A producer knows how to bring this effect out of an artist you may have HOT lyrics but may not be saying it the best way to the beat. Its more than just making a beat and saying here record to this NO lets get in the studio together, and let allow me to tell you Naw don't say it like that...like this like it or leave it. I think this is more of an instrumental for  soul/r&b type songs.even though I put Busta Rhymes in it. Whatever the case i INTEND to $ELL this beat. I didn't put Q-tips verse because it wasn't supposed to be a "remix"...just an instrumental with a filler to keep people from just jacking it without formally coming to myself for it. Besides Q-tip's voice is in there, like a chameleon he just blends in wit the beat as he states in Ice-T's movie The Art Of Rap...which I feel was a rush job/and bias by the way. I really call it the power of intention because the beat has no no formal "snare" or "kick" but the intention of it it there with the other forms of percussion to get the effect of it.
