There are 30 tracks in total, each one worth a potential of 3 points for correctly identifying the Artist Name(s), the Song Title, and the Artist(s) Country(ies) of Origin. Every participant earns 10 points simply for entering the contest, making a grand total of 100 possible points. welcome along to our Mixtape Paradiso advent calender für music lovers & vinyl dreams.
First up is Christos Davidopoulos , the soul of the legendary independent Optimal record store in Munich where I bought my first TV Personalities 45  sometime in the early 80´s after a long ride with my tuned up Velo Solex,comin all the  way  from Augsburg town.
Christos is a living encyclopedia of music & subculture literature and the only collector of christmas records that I know, here in his little mixtape he showcases his love for Jamaican early soulful Reggae & Rocksteady 45s , with some late 70´s lovers thrown in for good measure.
This set was recorded at our Waxsafari spring edition record fair 3/2024 @ Perle.Munich.

1998 vinyl mixtape in the times of NYC Giant Step, Organic Grooves & Turntables on the Hudson parties as well as Sunshine & Dub Club Vienna where we were starting to play often. "A Song for You" reflects our new Nickodemus & Jay B song "Samsara" which is the 1st song on the B side (after the break). There were around 20 samples in the song & no one wanted to release it, until I met MUSH records owner Robert who took the chance & we released "A New Day" EP on vinyl.  Weaving through Jazz & Hip Hop, Dub & Music from around the World with lots of UK pressings, as I frequently bought the imports section of our local record stores Eight Ball, DanceTraxx, Satellite, etc... This was our unique sound we brought to NYC parties at the time. DL & enjoy
